Giorgio Gori
Giorgio Gori (born 24 March 1960, in Bergamo) is an Italian entrepreneur, journalist and politician. He is a member of the Democratic Party and has been the mayor of Bergamo since June 2014. Early life Giorgio Gori attended high school at the Liceo classico Paolo Sarpi in Bergamo, where he became a member of the secularist and reformism student group "Action and Freedom". At 18 years old he started working for ''Radio Bergamo'', a liberal station directed by Vittorio Feltri. In the following years he worked for ''L'Eco di Bergamo'' and ''Bergamo Oggi'', two local newspapers. 2010 Lombard Regional Election
The 2010 Lombard regional election took place on 28–29 March 2010. The 9th term of the Regional Council was chosen. Roberto Formigoni, who was the longest-serving President of Region in Italy along with Giancarlo Galan of Veneto, obtained a historic fourth consecutive term. His opponent was Filippo Penati, a Democrat, who was President of the Province of Milan from 2004 to 2009. 2018 Lombard Regional Election
The 2018 Lombard regional election took place on 4 March 2018. The election took place concurrently with the Italian general election and the Lazio regional election. Electoral system Since 2012, Lombardy has adopted its own legislation to elect its Council, very similar to national ''Tatarella Law'' of 1995.
