Keith Michael Ginter (born May 5, 1976) is a former American Major League Baseball infielder. Ginter is a graduate of Fullerton Union High School in Fullerton, California. College Ginter attended and played baseball at Cypress College before transferring to Texas Tech University. During his two years at Texas Tech University, Ginter was a two-time All-American and helped the Red Raiders in NCAA Regional action. Matthew Shane Ginter (born December 24, 1977) is a former American professional baseball pitcher. After playing collegiately at Mississippi State, he started made his MLB debut in 2000 with the Chicago White Sox. He was signed by the Boston Red Sox to a minor league contract, and started 2006 pitching for the Pawtucket Red Sox. He had a strong start to the season, notably pitching eight innings of two-hit shutout baseball on April 23, and lowering his season ERA to 2.35 and his K/BB rate to 7. Ginter Gawlik (born 5 December 1930 in Borsigwerk, a district of Zabrze; died 22 August 2005 in Würzburg, Germany) was a Polish soccer player, defender and midfielder. He spent most of career playing for Polish team Górnik Zabrze. Gawlik, who was not raised in Poland (until 1945, Zabrze, then called Hindenburg, belonged to Germany), started his career in the mid-1940s for the German team Reichsbahn SV Borsigwerk. Ginter Park is a suburban neighborhood of Richmond, Virginia built on land owned and developed by Lewis Ginter. The neighborhood's first well known resident was newspaperman Joseph Bryan, who lived in Laburnum, first built in 1883 and later rebuilt. In 1895, many acres of land north of Richmond were purchased by Ginter in order to develop into neighborhoods. Ginter Park and other neighborhoods were developed from this initial land purchase. In Ginter Park are Union Presbyterian Seminary and as well as Pollard Park. Nearby are the Children's Hospital of Richmond and John Marshall High School. While the borders of North Side are not exact, nearby North Side neighborhoods include Barton Heights, Highland Park, Laburnum Park, Sherwood Park and Bellevue.
