Gina Sillitti (born April 5, 1978) is an American Democratic Party politician who currently represents New York State Assembly district 16, which includes Port Washington, Manhasset, Great Neck, North Hills, East Hills, Flower Hill, Old Westbury, Roslyn Estates, Roslyn Heights, Herricks and Lake Success of Nassau County on Long Island. Personal life Sillitti grew up in Mount Sinai, New York and Florida. She earned a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Georgia in 2000. She moved to Manorhaven in 2012. She is married to Kevin Clemency. Before running for office, she spent nearly two decades in public service, starting at the Nassau County Legislature. Anthony D'Urso
Anthony 'Tony' D'Urso (born October 17, 1939) is an Italian-American politician who represented the 16th District of the New York State Assembly from 2017 to 2020. First elected in 2016, he is a Democrat. The district includes the majority of the town of North Hempstead in Nassau County on Long Island. Early life Born in Italy, D'Urso immigrated to the United States at age 21 with only eight years of education. As a child in Formia, Italy, he witnessed both of his parents risking their lives to hide a Jewish family from the German soldiers. During the Holocaust, D'urso's father hid about 12 Jews from the Nazis at great risk to his own family, saving them from deportation. Lake Success, New York
Lake Success is a village in the Town of North Hempstead in Nassau County, on the North Shore of Long Island, in New York. The population was 2,897 at the 2010 census. The Incorporated Village of Lake Success was the temporary home of the United Nations from 1946 to 1951, occupying the headquarters of the Sperry Gyroscope Company on Marcus Avenue. Letitia James
Letitia Ann James (born October 18, 1958) is an American lawyer and politician. She is a member of the Democratic Party and the current Attorney General of New York, having won the 2018 election to succeed appointed Attorney General Barbara Underwood. She is the first African-American and first woman to be elected to the position. Andrew Cuomo, the 56th governor of New York, was accused of sexual harassment by multiple women starting in December 2020, with the accusations covering a range of alleged behavior. He denied all allegations and has apologized for his comments being interpreted as sexually charged.
