Gina Mambrú
Gina Altagracia Mambrú Casilla (born January 21, 1986 in Santo Domingo) is a volleyball player from the Dominican Republic, who played the Volleyball at the 2012 Summer Olympics – Women's tournament, 2012 Olympic Games and the 2014 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship, 2014 World Championship ranking fifth in both competitions. She won the gold medal at the Volleyball at the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games, 2010 and Volleyball at the 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games, 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games and bronze at the Volleyball at the 2015 Pan American Games – Women's tournament, 2015 Pan American Games. Early life Altagracia used to be a ballet dancer before becoming a volleyball player for Los Cachorros club. 2018 Women's Pan-American Volleyball Cup
The 2018 Women's Pan-American Volleyball Cup was the 17th edition of the annual women's volleyball tournament. It was held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic from 8 to 14 July. Twelve teams competed and the top five ranked teams at the end of the tournament qualified to the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. The complete set of rules is extensive, but play essentially proceeds as follows: a player on one of the teams begins a 'rally' by serving the ball (tossing or releasing it and then hitting it with a hand or arm), from behind the back boundary line of the court, over the net, and into the receiving team's court. The 21st Central American and Caribbean Games (Spanish: ''XXI Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe, Mayagüez 2010'') took place in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, from 18 July 2010 to 1 August 2010. The Central American and Caribbean Games (CAC or CACGs) are a multi-sport regional championship event, held quadrennial (once every four years), typically in the middle (even) year between Summer Olympics.
