Gim Eun-ji
Gim Eun-ji also known as Gim Un-chi (born January 23, 1990) is a Korean curler from Gyeonggi-do. She currently skips the Gyeonggi Province curling team. Career Gim played as lead in her first world championship at the 2011 Capital One World Women's Curling Championship along with skip Kim Ji-sun. The team struggled finishing in last place with a 2–9 record. At the 2012 World Women's Curling Championship, South Korea made history by making the playoffs for the first time with a 8–3 record. They defeated Canada to advance to the semifinal, but lost a close game against eventual champions Switzerland. They then lost another close game to the Canadians in the bronze medal game, finishing in fourth place. Winter Universiade
The Universiade is an international multi-sport event, organized for university athletes by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The name is a portmanteau of the words "University" and "Olympiad". The Universiade is referred to in English as the World University Games or World Student Games; however, this latter term can also refer to competitions for sub-University grades students. In July 2020 as part of a new branding system by the FISU, it was stated that the Universiade will be officially branded as the FISU World University Games. Kim Ji-sun
Kim Ji-sun (born June 27, 1987) is a South Korean curler from Gyeonggi Province. She was the skip of the 2014 South Korean Olympic Curling Team. Career Kim was a member of the silver medal-winning Korean team that won a silver medal at the 2007 Pacific Junior Curling Championships. She was the team's alternate and played two matches. She was also the alternate for the Korean team at the 2009 Mount Titlis World Women's Curling Championship that finished 10th. She played just one match in that game, a losing cause to Germany. As a skip, Kim won the silver medal on 2010 Pacific Curling Championships for Korea. Her Korean team was defeated by the former World Champion Chinese team, skipped by Wang Bingyu, in the final. Later in the season, she led her Korean team to a bronze medal at the 2011 Winter Universiade. Skip (curling)
In the sport of curling, the skip is the captain of a team. The skip determines strategy, and holds the broom in the ''house'' (target area) to indicate where a teammate at the other end of the curling ''sheet'' (playing area) should aim the stone. The skip usually throws the last two stones in the fourth position, but may play in any other position. Sometimes "skipper" is used; it can also be abbreviated as "S". It's also used as a verb ("skips", "skipped", "skipping"). It is conventional to identify a team by the name of the skip. The 2022 Korean Curling Championships (branded as the 2022 KB Financial Korean Curling Championships), Korea's national curling championships, were held from June 11 to 17 at the Jincheon National Training Centre in Jincheon, South Korea. Korean Curling Championships
The Korean Curling Championships (branded as the KB Financial Korean Curling Championships from 2012 to 2022) are the annual Korean men's and women's curling championships, organized by the Korean Curling Federation (KCF). The winners of the championship qualify for the Korean National Team. Until 2022, they earned the right to represent South Korea at the Pacific-Asia Curling Championships (PACC) and the World Curling Championships if they reached qualification. Every four years, the winners also qualify to represent South Korea at the Winter Olympic Games if the country received a berth.
