Andrew James Dalrymple Gill (1 January 1956 – 1 February 2020) was a British musician and record producer. He was the lead guitarist for the rock band Gang of Four, which he co-founded in 1976. Gill was known for his angular, jagged style of guitar on albums such as ''Entertainment!'' (1979) and '' Solid Gold'' (1981) and hit singles such as "At Home He's a Tourist", "Damaged Goods", "Anthrax", "What We All Want" and "I Love a Man in a Uniform". In addition to his work with Gang of Four, Gill was also a record producer, and produced or co-produced all of the band's albums. Bob Gill is the world-record holdinmotorcycle stuntman. He was one of the few jumpers to eschew the use of a landing ramp. His career was cut short in 1974 when he landed short on a world-record attempt to jump the wide Appalachia Lake in Bruceton Mills, West Virginia. Racer to jumper Bob began as a motorcycle racer in 1962. Unsatisfied with the money he was making as a racer, he switched to jumping full-time in 1970. After several long jumps, including one jump 152 feet over the Cajun Canyon in Louisiana, he jumped over a set of Ryder trucks on May 10, 1973. Robert Charles Gill (January 17, 1931November 9, 2021) was an American illustrator and graphic designer. Biography Robert Charles Gill was born on January 17, 1931, in Brooklyn, New York. Gill played the piano at summer resorts in the Catskill Mountains, New York, to pay his school tuition. He attended the Philadelphia Museum School of Art (1948–1951), Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (1951), City College of New York (1952, 1955). When he graduated he became a professional graphic designer in New York City. Gill acted as a film title designer in several films, including several films of Ray Harryhausen. In 1960 after an interview in a New York hotel room for a job in London, he moved to the UK to work for Charles Hobson. Benjamin David Gill (born 4 October 1987) is an English footballer. He plays either as a central midfielder or central defender and most recently played for Chalfont St Peter. Career Born in Harrow, Gill started his career as a youth player at Arsenal but was released in July 2005 and joined the academy of Championship side Watford. Whilst still an academy scholar he made his first team debut in a League Cup victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers on 20 September 2005, coming on as a substitute. Aurélien Gill, (August 26, 1933 – January 17, 2015) was a Canadian businessman, teacher and politician. Gill served in the Senate of Canada from his appointment in 1998 until his retirement in 2008. Early life Born in Mashteuiatsh, the only Native community in Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, Quebec, Gill received a bachelor's degree in pedagogy from Université Laval. An Aboriginal businessman and advocate, Gill also has a background as a teacher and government administrator having been Quebec Director-General of the Department of Indian and Northern Affairs. He was founding president of the Conseil Attikamek-Montagnais and chief of the Mashteuiatsh Montagnais community from 1975 to 1982 and from 1987 to 1989. Arie Gluck (Hebrew: אריה גליק; April 13, 1930 – June 23, 2016) was an Israeli runner and coach. He competed in the 1952 Summer Olympic Games under the surname Gill or Gill-Glick. Early and personal life Gluck was born in Czechoslovakia on April 13, 1930. In 1933, Gluck emigrated with his parents with him to the British Mandate of Palestine and settled in the city of Tel Aviv. At age 15, Gluck served in the Haganah, Israel's pre-state army. At age 17, he served in the Palmach, the Haganah's elite special forces. Anthony J Gill is an Australian pathologist, professor of surgical pathology at the University of Sydney and the chairman of the Australian Pancreatic Cancer Genome Initiative - part of the International Cancer Genome Consortium. Most of his research is focused on translating the improved understanding of cancer gained at the basic science level into clinically useful diagnostic tests which can be applied in the routine surgical pathology laboratory.
