Gili Landau
Gili Landau ( he, גילי לנדאו; born 7 May 1958) is an Israeli former footballer and currently a manager, coaching the Israel women's national football team. Early life Landau was born in Bat Yam, Israel. He played soccer as a striker for Hapoel Tel Aviv for 17 years, from 1974–90, 12 matches for the Israel national football team, and earned a gold medal playing for Team Israel at the 1977 Maccabiah Games. He won three national championships, and one national cup. Managerial career Landau has coached Hapoel Bat Yam, Maccabi Herlzliya, Hapoel Be'er Sheva, Hakoah Ramat Gan, Maccabi Kiryat Gat, Maccabi Netanya, Hapoel Tel Aviv, Hapoel Bnei Lod, Hapoel Petah Tikva, Ironi Kiryat Shmona, F.C. Ashdod (sport director), and Agudat Sport Ashdod. He was appointed as the coach of the Israel women's national football team in July 2021. Bat Yam
Bat Yam ( he, בַּת יָם or ) is a city located on Israel's Mediterranean Sea coast, on the Central Coastal Plain just south of Tel Aviv. It is part of the Gush Dan metropolitan area and the Tel Aviv District. In 2020, it had a population of 160,000. History British Mandate Bat Yam, originally Bayit VeGan (“House and Garden”), was founded in 1919 by the Bayit VeGan homeowners association, affiliated with the Mizrachi movement. The association was formed to establish a religious garden suburb in Jaffa. By March 1920, it had 400 members. In 1921, of land were purchased, of which 1,400 were formally registered by 1923. Hakoah Ramat Gan
Hakoah Maccabi Amidar Ramat Gan Football Club ( he, מועדון כדורגל הכח מכבי עמידר רמת גן) is an Israeli football club based in Ramat Gan. The club is currently in Liga Alef South division and plays at the Winter Stadium in Ramat Shikma, a neighbourhood of Ramat Gan. History The club was established in 1959 by a merger of Hakoah Tel Aviv and Maccabi Ramat Gan. The new club was based at Maccabi's Gali Gil stadium in Ramat Gan, but largely consisted of Hakoah players. In 1962 the club was promoted to Liga Leumit, then the top division. In their first season they finished third from bottom. In 1964–65 the club won its first championship, beating Hapoel Petah Tikva to the title on goal difference. Israel State Cup
The Israel State Cup ( he, גביע המדינה, ''Gvia HaMedina''), is a knockout cup competition in Israeli football, run by the Israel Football Association (IFA). The State Cup was first held in 1928 as the People's Cup. Because it involves clubs of all standards playing against each other, there is the possibility for "minnows" from the lower divisions to become "giant-killers" by eliminating top clubs from the tournament, although lower division teams rarely reach the final. The current holders of the State Cup are the Israeli Premier League club Hapoel Haifa, who beat Beitar Jerusalem in the 2018 final on May 9, 2018. Maccabi Tel Aviv have 23 titles, having the record for most titles won. Hapoel Tel Aviv in 1937–1939 and 2010–2012 are the only club to have retained the State Cup for three consecutive seasons.
