Gil Reavill
Gil Reavill (born 1953) is an American author, journalist and screenwriter whose work has appeared in a variety of media. Early and personal life Reavill was born in Wausau, Wisconsin and educated at University of Wisconsin–Madison and University of Colorado. He lives in New York with his wife and daughter. Career After working at daily newspapers in Colorado, Reavill moved to New York in 1981. Among his jobs in the early 1980s was ghostwriting for Al Goldstein, publisher of ''Screw'' magazine. Out of that experience grew his non-fiction book ''Smut: A Sex-Industry Insider (and Concerned Father) Says Enough is Enough''. In addition, Reavill wrote several plays produced in off-off-Broadway venues throughout the 1980s. Many of Reavill's true-crime articles appeared in ''Maxim'' from 1998 to 2004. Valentin Aleksandrovich "Val" Chmerkovskiy ( uk, Валентин Олександрович "Вал" Чмерковський; born March 24, 1986) is a Ukrainian-American professional dancer, best known for his appearances on the U.S. version of ''Dancing with the Stars'', which he won twice. Chmerkovskiy is a two-time World Latin Dance Champion (Junior and Youth) and a 14-time U.S. National Latin Dance champion. Peter Gatien (born August 14, 1952) is a Canadian club owner and party promoter. He is best known as the former owner of several prominent New York City nightclubs, including Club USA, The Limelight, Palladium, and Tunnel. Life and career Gatien was born in Cornwall, Ontario, the third of five brothers. His first business venture was a jeans store in his home town, which he opened with a $13,000 settlement after he lost an eye in a hockey accident. After that, he turned a former country western bar into a rock club called Aardvark and booked the band Rush to perform. In 1976, he read about a bankrupt nightclub in Florida known as Rumbottoms; the space became the first incarnation of The Limelight. Limelight Atlanta followed. Susan Smith
Susan Leigh Smith (née Vaughan; born September 26, 1971) is an American woman who was convicted of murdering her two sons, three-year-old Michael and 14-month-old Alexander, in 1994 by drowning them in a South Carolina lake. The case gained international attention because of Smith's false claim that a black man had kidnapped her sons during a carjacking. Her defense attorneys, David Bruck and Judy Clarke, called expert witnesses to testify that she had mental health issues that impaired her judgment when she committed the crimes. Smith was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 30 years. According to the South Carolina Department of Corrections, she will be eligible for parole on November 4, 2024. Atiim Kiambu "Tiki" Barber (; born April 7, 1975) is an American former football running back who played for the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL) for ten seasons.
