Gijón FF
Gijón Fútbol Femenino is a Spanish women's football club from Gijón established in 2000. As part of an agreement, the club acts ''de facto'' as UC Ceares's women's football section. History Gijón Fútbol Femenino was founded in 2000 by a group of sixteen women who disagreed with the work of their respective clubs in women's football. In its first season the club played in Regional league of Asturias and promoted to Segunda División by winning all its games played. After topping its group of Segunda División for three consecutive seasons, Gijón FF promoted to the Superliga in 2005, after beating CD Nuestra Señora de Belén and UE L'Estartit in the promotion play-offs. In the debut at Superliga, Gijón ended last setting a negative record with one draw and 23 losses, and it was relegated. UC Ceares
Unión Club Ceares is a List of football clubs in Spain, Spanish football team based in the neighbourhood of Ceares, Gijón, in the autonomous community of Asturias. Founded in 1946, it plays in Segunda División RFEF, Segunda División RFEF – Group 1, holding home games at ''Campo de La Cruz (Gijón), Campo de La Cruz'', which has a capacity of 1,500 spectators. The 2011–12 Segunda División de Fútbol Femenino was the 21st edition of the second category of the Spanish women's football national championship. The competition was renamed, having been previously known as Primera Nacional, and a seventh group was created; the groups were rearranged and redistributed by regions as shown in the table below. 2019–20 Primera Nacional De Fútbol (women)
The 2019–20 Primera Nacional de Fútbol was the 19th edition of this league and the first season as the Spanish women's football third-tier league. On 6 May 2020, the Royal Spanish Football Federation announced the premature end of the league, revoking relegations and planning a new format for the promotion playoffs, to be played if possible by the seven group leaders and the best second qualified team. Format Teams were confirmed on 31 July 2019. Three days after the confirmation, Atlántida Matamá, that previously resigned to promotion to Segunda División Pro, withdrew from the competition. The seven first-placed teams and the runner-up with the most points will qualify for the promotion playoffs.
