Giannis Sioutis
Ioannis Sioutis (alternate spelling: Giannis) ( el, Γιάννης Σιούτης; born July 27, 1973) is a Greece, Greek retired professional basketball player and current assistant coach for AEK B.C., AEK Athens of the Greek Basket League and the Basketball Champions League, under head coach Ilias Kantzouris. He has also previously worked as an assistant for Panathinaikos B.C., Panathinaikos. At a height of 1.84 m (6 ft ½ in), he played at the point guard position during his active basketball career. Professional career Sioutis started his playing career with the youth team of Milon BC, Milon in 1986. In 1995, he transferred to Aris BC, Aris. In 1997, he won the Korać Cup, and in 1998, he won the Greek Basketball Cup, Greek Cup, both while playing with Aris BC, Aris. The Greece men's national basketball team ( el, Eθνική Oμάδα Καλαθοσφαίρισης Ελλάδος) represents Greece in international basketball. They are controlled by the Hellenic Basketball Federation, the governing body for basketball in Greece. Greece is currently ranked ninth in the FIBA World Rankings. Greece appeared eight times at the FIBA World Cup, their best performance coming in 2006 as runners-up, after beating the United States 101–95 in the tournament's semi-final.
