''Ghutan'' (translation: Suffocation) is an Indian television series broadcast first on Doordarshan in 1997, and on Star Plus as ''Manzil'' in 1998. The show was produced by Cinevstaas and has an ensemble cast, starring Renuka Shahane, Vishal Singh, Raza Murad, Smita Jayakar, Kiran Kumar, Talat Aziz (who also composed the title song for the show), Tom Alter, Maya Alagh and others. The title song "Kahin Safar Hai Kahin Raasta Hai Manzil Ka" was composed and sung by Aziz. Talat Aziz
Talat Aziz ( ur, طلعت عزیز; born 11 November 1956) is a popular ghazal singer from Hyderabad, India. Early life Aziz was born in Hyderabad, India to Abdul Azeem Khan and Sajida Abid, a famous Urdu writer and poet. He attended Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet and then joined the Indian Institute of Management and Commerce for his B.Com. (Hons) Course. His family loved fine arts and used to organise Mehfils in their house, inviting artists and poets like Jagjit Singh and Jan Nisar Akhtar. Maya Alagh is an Indian television and film actress. Personal life Maya is married to Sunil Alagh, who is a former managing director and CEO of Britannia Industries. Thomas Beach Alter (22 June 1950 – 29 September 2017) was an Indian actor. He was best known for his works in Hindi cinema, and Indian theatre. In 2008, he was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India. Early life Born in Mussoorie in present-day Uttarakhand, Alter was the son of American Presbyterian missionaries of English, Scottish and Swiss German ancestry and lived for years in Mumbai and the Himalayan hill station of Landour. His grandparents migrated to Madras, India from Ohio, U.S., in November 1916. From there, they moved to and settled in Lahore, in present-day Pakistan. His father was born in Sialkot. Raza Murad (born 23 November 1950) is an Indian actor who appears primarily in Hindi films. He has over 250 Bollywood film credits.
