Ghulami
''Ghulami'' () is a 1985 Indian Hindi-language action drama film directed by J. P. Dutta (in his directorial debut). The film has an ensemble cast comprising Dharmendra, Mithun Chakraborty, Mazhar Khan, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Raza Murad, Reena Roy, Smita Patil, Anita Raj, Naseeruddin Shah and Om Shivpuri. Lyrics were by Gulzar and music by Laxmikant–Pyarelal, the latter of whom would go on to collaborate with Dutta in all his films until Kshatriya (1993). It was shot at Fatehpur, Rajasthan. Amitabh Bachchan narrated the film. Plot The film focuses on the caste and feudal system in Rajasthan. Kulbhushan Kharbanda (born 21 October 1944) is an Indian actor who works in Hindi and Punjabi films. He is best known for his role as the antagonist Shakaal in '' Shaan'' (1980), Starting off with the Delhi-based theatre group 'Yatrik' in the 1960s, he moved to films with Sai Paranjpye's '' Jadu Ka Shankh'' in 1974. Mazhar Khan (22 July 1955 – 16 September 1998) was an Indian film and television actor, producer and director. Khan made his debut with the film '' Sampark'' (1979), playing the role of Brindavan, but was better acclaimed for his role as Abdul in '' Shaan'' (1980), as a street beggar. He made his debut as a producer with the film ''Bombay Fantasy'' (1983), and made his directorial debut with the film ''Gang'' (2000), released after Khan's death in 1998. Om Shivpuri (14 July 1938 – 15 October 1990) was an Indian theatre actor-director and character actor in Hindi films. A National School of Drama, New Delhi alumnus, Shivpuri became the first chief of the National School of Drama Repertory Company (1964) and one of its actors. He later founded an important theatre group of its era in New Delhi, Dishantar. Early life Born in Patiala, Om Shivpuri started his career by working at Jalandhar Radio Station, where Sudha Shivpuri (who later became his wife) was working at the time.
