Ghosts In The Machine
''Ghosts in the Machine'' is the second album by the Ohio nu metal band Switched. This is a two-disc album, with the first disc featuring 11 tracks that were intended for the band's second release under their previous label, Immortal Records. The quality of these songs are rough, as they were still in the demo phase. The second disc includes 12 tracks in total, 8 demo tracks – 7 of which featured on their debut album '' Subject to Change'' and one b-side track "She Blinded Me with Science". The remaining four tracks are live performances. Switched (band)
Switched (previously depicted as Sw1tched) was a nu metal band from Cleveland, Ohio. History Forming in 1999 as Sw1tch, the band played shows around Ohio and released a demo entitled ''Fuckin' Demo''. The songs "Anymore", "Wrongside", "Inside", "Darkening Days", "Last Chance", and "Skins", which appear in their demo versions on this CD, went on to appear on the '' Subject to Change'' album. This demo was later re-released on disc two of the "Ghosts in the Machine" album in 2006. Since a funk band already had rights to the name Switch, the band had to change their name to Sw1tched, and was later signed to Immortal/Virgin Records. After recording all of the bass for the '' Subject to Change'' album, bassist Shawn May left the band for unknown reasons, and was replaced by Chimaira drum tech Jason French. Chad Szeliga
Chad Szeliga (born December 11, 1976) is an American drummer from Elyria, Ohio. Formerly the drummer of rock band Breaking Benjamin, he joined Black Label Society in 2013, replacing Mike Froedge. In 2017, Szeliga replaced Jimmy DeGrasso in Black Star Riders, leaving the band in 2021. Szeliga looks up to Vinnie Colaiuta, John Bonham, Steve Gadd, Dennis Chambers, Tony Williams, Manu Katche, Stewart Copeland and Neil Peart as his main influences. Career Breaking Benjamin While with Another Path, Szeliga recorded an audition video for Breaking Benjamin playing drums for the song " So Cold". The video submitted happened to be the only VHS tape submitted. Ben Burnley was forced to borrow a VCR from his neighbor to view the tape. Corey Lowery
Corey French Lowery is an American musician, songwriter, record producer and engineer. He is the guitarist and backing vocalist for South African rock band Seether, and a former member of Saint Asonia, Stuck Mojo, Stereomud, Eye Empire, and Dark New Day. He is the brother of Clint Lowery. History Lowery played bass guitar with Stuck Mojo from 1995 to 1998, including most of two most albums, ''Pigwalk'' and '' Rising''. He then joined Stereomud which consisted of Lowery on bass, Erik Rogers on vocals, Dan Richardson on drums, and John Fattoruso and Joey Zampella on guitars. "She Blinded Me with Science" is a song by the English musician Thomas Dolby, released in 1982. It was first released as a single in the UK in October 1982. It was subsequently included on the EP '' Blinded by Science'' and the 1983 re-release of Dolby's debut album ''The Golden Age of Wireless''. Nu Metal
Nu metal (sometimes stylized as nü-metal, sometimes called aggro-metal) is a subgenre of that combines elements of heavy metal music with elements of other music genres such as hip hop, alternative rock, funk, industrial, and grunge. ''Subject to Change'' is the debut album by the Ohio nu metal band Switched. It was released on February 26, 2002 via Immortal Records and went on to sell over 40,000 copies in US. On January 10, 2006 the album was re-released. This revised version, released on January 10, 2006 via Corporate Punishment Records contains four bonus tracks and two enhanced music videos for the single "Inside". Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the garage, psychedelic and blues rock movements.
