DV refers to a family of codecs and videotape, tape formats used for storing digital video, launched in 1995 by a consortium of camcorder, video camera manufacturers led by Sony and Panasonic. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, DV was strongly associated with the transition from analog video, analog to digital desktop video production, and also with several enduring "prosumer" camera designs such as the Sony DCR-VX1000, Sony VX-1000. DV is sometimes referred to as #Magnetic tape, MiniDV, which was the most popular tape format using a DV codec during this time. In 2003, DV was joined by a successor format called HDV, which used the same tapes but with an updated video codec; HDV cameras could typically switch between DV and HDV recording modes. Toast Records is an independent record label based in Turin, Italy. Company history Toast Records is a recording company founded in 1985 by producer ''Giulio Tedeschi'' and operated by Italian Rock. It all started in 1979 in a very “underground” style. The city of Turin saw and witnessed the birth of Meccano Records. The initial idea was to promote the ''Righeira'' project. In spring 1985, out of Meccano Records, sprang Toast sas soon to become Toast Records a project that would make history in the Italian independent musical scene. Pino Massara (24 April 1931 - 23 July 2013) was an Italian musician, composer, record producer and conductor. Born in Vigevano as Giuseppe Previde Massara, graduated in chemistry, from the university years he devoted himself to jazz music. Among his successful songs "Permette, signorina?", originally performed by Nicola Arigliano and later covered by Nat King Cole with the title "Cappuccina", "I Sing ammore" and "Grazie prego scusi", both recorded by several artists including Dean Martin, "Nel Sole", which sold over one million copies and launched the career of Al Bano, and "Siamo la coppia più bella del mondo", a duet between Adriano Celentano and Claudia Mori which was number one at the Italian hit parade for six weeks. In the seventies Massara founded "Bla Bla Records", an alternative recording company that produced the first works of Franco Battiato, Juri Camisasca and the avant-garde rock band Capsicum Red. ''BLA BLA'' is an interactive film, interactive animated film for computer created by with Montreal studio AATOAA, and produced by the National Film Board of Canada. The online work has been described as exploring "the principles of human communication," and follows Morisset's collaborations with Arcade Fire on ''Neon Bible'', considered the first interactive music video. The characters in ''BLA BLA'' were designed by Caroline Robert using stop-motion puppetry and traditional animation as well as computer animation methods such as ActionScript animation and real-time 3D mapping. The work is designed to be principally non-linear, with users constructing the story through point-and-click choices. The music by composer Philippe Lambert and characters' speech was broken into short clips and distributed randomly throughout the programming, which was created by Édouard Lanctôt-Benoit. Federico Monti Arduini (born 1 December 1940), best known as Il Guardiano del Faro, is an Italian composer, producer and musician. History Ralph Peer, a field recording engineer and Artists and repertoire, A&R representative for Victor Records, went on a scouting trip to Bristol, Tennessee. For two weeks, he recorded artists such as Jimmie Rodgers (country singer), Jimmie Rodgers and The Carter Family in what later became famous as the Bristol sessions.
