Ghetts
Justin Clarke, better known by his stage name Ghetts (formerly Ghetto), is a British grime MC, rapper and songwriter. His music has been played on national radio stations such as BBC Radio 1, Kiss 100, BBC Asian Network, and BBC Radio 1Xtra. Currently, Ghetts is signed to independent record label Disrupt, and released his debut studio album, '' Rebel with a Cause'', on 9 March 2014. Known for his hard hitting lyrics and intricate rhyme schemes, he is associated and has toured internationally with such acts as Kano and was a member of NASTY Crew. Musical career Ghetts was a member of grime collective NASTY Crew, however he left, saying that things had gone "pear shaped" due to the number of people in the group. He later went on to create the grime collective The Movement, including Devlin, Wretch 32, Scorcher, Mercston, Lightning, and DJ Unique. Rebel With A Cause (album)
''Rebel With a Cause'' is the debut album by Ghetts. It was released on 10 March 2014 through independent label Disrupt, following ten years' worth of mixtapes and singles. It entered the UK Albums Chart at number 23. The album earned Ghetts numerous accolades; including 3 MOBO nominations, a BET nomination, the award for 'Hardest Working Artist' at the AIM Independent Awards and 2 Urban Music Awards for 'Best Album' and 'Best Male'. "Rebel With a Cause" also draws influences from other genres such as rock, jazz, and reggae. Kaine Brett Robinson (born 21 May 1985), better known as Kano, is a British rapper, songwriter and actor from East Ham, London. A significant contributor to grime music, he is widely considered one of the pioneers of grime music and culture, alongside artists such as Wiley and Dizzee Rascal. His fifth album ''Made in the Manor'' was shortlisted for the 2016 Mercury Prize and won Best Album at the 2016 MOBO Awards. On screen, he is best known for playing the role of Sully in ''Top Boy''. Scorcher (rapper)
Tayo Jarrett (born 5 April 1986), better known as Scorcher, is a British grime MC, songwriter and actor from Enfield, London. He was previously a member of the grime collective The Movement and is signed to Blue Colla Music. Career 2005–08: Early career He began his career in Cold Blooded where he became known for his "shank" bars, and would regularly attend pirate radio and work his way up through the North London grime circuit. Scorcher served a short prison sentence in 2006 for driving offences, and while in jail his mixtape ''Simply the Best'' was released and was greeted with good reviews from the grime scene. Jermaine Sinclaire Scott (born 9 March 1985), better known by his stage name Wretch 32, is a British rapper, singer and songwriter from Tottenham, North London. He was a member of the grime collective Combination Chain Gang, before forming The Movement with Scorcher, Ghetts, and Mercston. In 2011, Wretch 32 had three top-five charting songs from debut album ''Black and White'' and amassed over a million record sales, including the single " Don't Go" which peaked at number-one on the UK Singles Chart. Joseph Ellis-Stephenson (born 19 October 1988), better known by his stage name Dot Rotten or Zeph Ellis, is a British grime MC, rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer from Lambeth, South London. Having released a series of mixtapes independently in the grime scene under the names Young Dot and later Dot Rotten, Ellis signed to Mercury Records, releasing his debut studio album '' Voices in My Head'' in 2013. ''Home Sweet Home'' is the debut album by British rapper Kano. It was released on 27 June 2005 by 679 Recordings. Kano was 20 years old when the album was released.
