Ghatshila Subdivision
Ghatshila subdivision is an administrative subdivision of the East Singhbhum district in the Kolhan division in the state of Jharkhand, India. Administration The district consists of two subdivisions - (1) Dhalbhum subdivision with Patamda, Boram, Golmuri-cum-Jugsalai and Potka CD blocks, and (2) Ghatshila subdivision with Ghatshila, Dhalbhumgarh, Musabani, Dumaria, Gurbandha, Chakulia and Baharagora CD blocks. Dumaria (also spelled Dumariya, Dumriya) is a village in the Dumaria CD block in the Ghatshila subdivision of the Purbi Singhum district in the Indian state of Jharkhand. Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary
Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary is a wildlife sanctuary located 10 km from the city of Jamshedpur in the state of Jharkhand. Inaugurated in 1975 it contains significant population of Indian Elephants. Geography Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary is situated around the Dalma Hills. Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary is a much larger area starting from Chandil to 40 km east. The sanctuary covers around 195 km2. It is about 100 km from the capital city Ranchi, and 15 km from the steel city Jamshedpur. The wildlife sanctuary runs parallel to the NH-18 with hills as high as 915 m from sea level. Musabani
Musabani, also spelt as Mosabani or Mushabani, is a census town in the Musabani CD block in the Ghatshila subdivision of the Purbi Singhbhum district in the Indian state of Jharkhand. History Origin of the town dates backs before the independence of India. Mining was done from the ancient time but the place saw an economic boom when mining was restarted by the British. Jadugora
Jadugora (also spelt as Jadugoda or Jaduguda) is a census town in the Musabani CD block in the Ghatshila subdivision of the Purbi Singhbhum district in the Indian state of Jharkhand. Etymology The name "Jadugora" or "Jadugoda" has been derived from the word "Jadagoda", which means 'land of elephants in a local tribal language. It is said that there was a time when this was home to many Asian elephants. But with time as many mines and factories were established, they moved to denser forests due to loss of habitat. Galudih is a village in the Ghatshila CD block in the Ghatshila subdivision of the East Singhbhum district, Jharkhand, India. Geography Location Galudih is located at . Patamda is a village in the Patamda CD block in the Dhalbhum subdivision of the Purbi Singhum district in the Indian state of Jharkhand.
