Ghana Football Association
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is a governing body of association football, based in Accra. Founded in 1957, it was dissolved with "immediate effect", according to Minister of Sport, Isaac Kwame Asiamah, on 7 June 2018, after the uncovering of a corruption scandal. In October 2019, a new president, Kurt Okraku, was elected and the association reconvened upon the completion of the work of the FIFA Normalization Committee. Mark Addo was elected vice president in November 2019. Confederation Of African Football
The Confederation of African Football, or CAF for short (french: link=yes, Confédération Africaine de Football, ar, link=yes, الاتحاد الأفريقي لكرة القدم, al-Ittiḥād al-Afrīqī li-Kurat al-Qadam), is the administrative and controlling body for association football, futsal and beach soccer in Africa. Prosper Harrison Addo
Prosper Harrison Addo is a Ghanaian lawyer, journalist, and football administrator. He has been the General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association since 2020. Education Addo had his secondary education at the Accra Academy before proceeding to the University of Ghana, where he studied Law and Economics for his undergraduate degree. Addo was a pioneering student volunteer for the then newly founded Radio Universe during his time at the university. He continued to the Ghana School of Law, where he was called to the bar in 2000. He obtained his master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Salford, Manchester. Career As a football administrator, Addo has served the Ghana Football Association (GFA) in various capacities. FIFA World Cup
The FIFA World Cup, often simply called the World Cup, is an international association football competition contested by the senior men's national teams of the members of the ' ( FIFA), the sport's global governing body. The tournament has been held every four years since the inaugural tournament in 1930, except in 1942 and 1946 when it was not held because of the Second World War. The reigning champions are Argentina, who won their third title at the 2022 tournament. David Duncan (born 25 October 1963) is the assistant coach of the Ghana national football team, the Black Stars. Club career David Duncan began his club career at Afienya United in 1984 before moving to Premier Division side Great Olympics two years later. David Duncan mixed schooling with his football career but he had to take a number of years off to pursue his education. He was back with Afienya United for one season in the 1991/92 season when his team finished eighth in the league. Charles Akonnor
Charles Kwabla Akonnor (born 12 March 1974 in Accra) is a former Ghanaian international footballer who is the former manager of the Ghana national team. He played as a versatile midfielder, mostly in Germany. He started his career in Ghana with a colts team Young Hearts, before joining Okwawu United and later Obuasi Goldfields. In 1992, Akonnor moved to Germany with Samuel Kuffour and joined then 2. Bundesliga side Fortuna Köln, where he would spend six seasons and appear in over 150 matches and score over 25 goals before securing a move to Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg where he made his name.
