Gevorg Ghazaryan
Gevorg Ghazaryan ( hy, Գևորգ Ղազարյան; born 5 April 1988) is an Armenian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or forward for the Armenia national team. Ghazaryan has participated in 73 international matches, scoring 14 goals since his debut on 14 January 2007. He previously played for Greek Super League clubs Olympiacos and Kerkyra, and earlier for Pyunik. Club career Pyunik In the 2004 Armenian Premier League season, Ghazaryan played for the youth team FC Pyunik, performing in the First League. For the next season, he debuted in the senior first team. On 6 July 2005, Ghazaryan came to the Lernagorts Stadium against the same command, replacing in the half-time interval with Aghvan Mkrtchyan. Armenia National Football Team
The Armenia national football team ( hy, Հայաստանի ֆուտբոլի ազգային հավաքական, ''Hayastani futboli azgayin havak'akan'') represents Armenia in association football and is controlled by the Football Federation of Armenia, the governing body for football in Armenia. After gaining independence from the Soviet Union, the team played its first international match on 12 October 1992. The national team has participated in the qualification of every major tournament from the UEFA Euro 1996 onwards, though they are yet to qualify for the final stages of either a UEFA European Football Championship or a FIFA World Cup. There were no teams promoted from the previous season of the First League. Therefore, Kilikia FC play another season in the top league. The 2008 Armenian Premier League season (known as ''STAR National Football League'' due to sponsorship reasons) was the seventeenth since its establishment. It started on 6 April 2008, while the last matches were played on 15 November 2008. FC Pyunik were the defending champions. The Yerevan side won their seventh consecutive league title the previous season, their tenth overall. FC Dinamo Yerevan were supposed to be the team to get promoted, but they withdrew from the Premier League, and were disbanded. The Armenian Premier League ( hy, VBET Հայաստանի Պրեմիեր Լիգա, known as the VBET Armenian Premier League for sponsorship reasons) is the top association football, football competition in Armenia. Shirak FC
Football Club Shirak ( hy, Շիրակ Ֆուտբոլային Ակումբ), commonly known as Shirak, is an Armenian professional sports club based in Gyumri. Shirak is known for its professional football team which is one of the oldest football clubs in Armenia, having been created in 1958. The club is the only team that participated in all seasons of the Armenian Premier League since its creation in 1992 until 2021. Shirak is one of the more successful clubs in Armenia, having won a total of 11 domestic titles including four Armenian Premier League titles, two Armenian Cup, and five Armenian Super Cup. Lernagorts Stadium
Gandzasar Stadium ( hy, Գանձասար մարզադաշտ) is a multi-purpose stadium in Kapan, the capital of Syunik Province, Armenia. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Gandzasar. With a capacity of 3,500, Gandzasar Stadium is located at the centre of the town of Kapan, on the left bank of Voghji River, between Aram Manukian and Hovhannes Tumanyan streets. Kapan town hall is located at the eastern edge of the stadium Overview The stadium was opened during the Soviet period in 1963 as Lernagorts Stadium, being home to Lernagorts Kapan. It remained under the ownership of the town council until 2004, when it was privatized and sold to the Gandzasar Sprts Centre LLC owned by Gagik Ohanjanyan.
