Fancy (singer)
Manfred Alois Segieth (born 7 July 1946), known by his stage name Fancy, is a German singer, songwriter, musician and record producer. Early life Manfred Alois Segieth was born on 7 July 1946 in Munich. Fancy started playing guitar at the age of twelve. While attending a boarding school where the enjoyment of worldly music was not allowed, he had to secretly listen to the pop records of artists such as Ted Herold and Peter Kraus. At age 14, he switched to the humanistic high school in Munich. During and after high school, he worked in various bands as a guitarist and bass player, though he mainly performed as a singer. He performed with these bands in numerous dance halls. However, his parents did not share Fancy's enthusiasm for music. His father had only changed his mind after recovering from a major operation. Eurodisco (also spelled as Euro disco) is the variety of European forms of electronic dance music that evolved from disco in the late 1970s, incorporating elements of pop and rock into a disco-like continuous dance atmosphere. Anthony Monn
Anthony Monn (also known as Tony Monn, born March 17, 1944) is a German singer, composer, and record producer. Biography Monn started his career as a singer in the German schlager genre in the early 1970s. Among his best-known songs from that period are 1975's "Du Gehst Fort", a duet with singer and actress Marion Maerz, "Lucky" (1978), and " Johnny und Mary" (a German-language cover version of Robert Palmer's 1981 hit), although these met limited commercial success in Germany. Richard William Palmer-James (born 11 June 1947) is an English guitarist, songwriter and lyricist. He may be best known as one of the founder members of Supertramp (playing guitar and songwriter); writing lyrics for several songs by the progressive rock group King Crimson in the early 1970s; and for writing lyrics for the 1985 hit "(I'll Never Be) Maria Magdalena" by Sandra. Palmer-James was born in Meyrick Park, Bournemouth, where he got his start in the music business playing in various local bands: The Corvettes, The Palmer-James Group (formed with Alec James), Tetrad, and Ginger Man, all of which included John Wetton on bass and vocals.
