Get Ready To Be Boyzvoiced
''Get Ready to Be Boyzvoiced'' is a 2000 Norwegian mockumentary about a fictional boy band called Boyzvoice. Outside Norway, it has been screened multiple times on Australian television channel SBS. Plot The band is a three-piece vocal group dominated by their utterly untalented lead singer "M*Pete". When they are caught lip-synching before the release of their first album, scandal erupts (fed also by their manager's physically assaulting an elderly male and an elderly female member of the Salvation Army and the revelation that M*Pete's 16-year-old girlfriend is actually only 12) and they are dropped by their record company. They consider leaving the music industry, but their manager gets them a sponsorship deal with a Norwegian fish finger manufacturer. Ultimately they bounce back to fame after an appearance at the HitAwards Norwegian music awards show. Espen Eckbo
Espen Andersen Eckbo (born 22 April 1973) is a Norwegian actor, writer and comedian. He was born in Oslo, and grew up in Bestum. He now lives in Ullevål Hageby. Eckbo has no formal training as an actor, but has a background as a law student for two years at the University of Oslo. Internationally, he is best recognised for having helped to create the fictional boy band Boyzvoice and the subsequent mockumentary '' Get Ready to be Boyzvoiced'' (2000) together with Henrik Elvestad. Eckbo first appeared on Norwegian television in 1998, when he got his own segment in the news satire program '' Mandagsklubben'', where he would portray a different character every week in a mock documentary style. These segments were also the launching pad for Boyzvoice. The short-lived show ''I kveld'', with Thomas Giertsen, and Rebekka Strandenes followed in 1999. Jon Øigarden (born 31 May 1971) is a Norwegian actor, who is well known for his role as journalist Peter Verås in the TV series ''Mammon'', Jarl Varg in Norsemen, and other Norwegian films. Career Jon Øigarden was educated at the Norwegian National Academy of Theatre, and has acted both on stage and on screen. Between 1997 and 1999 he worked at '' Oslo Nye Teater''.
