''Get Heavy'' is the debut album by Finnish hard rock band Lordi, released in 2002. Although the bass guitarist Kalma appears on the cover artwork, all bass guitars were played by the former bass guitarist Magnum, who left after the recording and before the release of the album. Lordi
Lordi () is a Finnish hard rock/ heavy metal band, formed in 1992 by the band's lead singer, songwriter and costume maker, Mr Lordi (Tomi Petteri Putaansuu). In addition to their melodic metal music, Lordi are also known for wearing monster masks and using horror elements with pyrotechnics during concerts and music videos. The band rose to fame in 2002 with their hit single "Would You Love a Monsterman?", and won the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 with their song " Hard Rock Hallelujah". Lordi has toured and recorded actively since 2002, and Mr Lordi upgrades the band's costumes and masks for each album. The band has gone through several line-up changes with Mr Lordi being the only consistent member of the band since their foundation. "Would You Love a Monsterman?" is a song by Finnish rock band Lordi from their album ''Get Heavy''. It was also released as a single. The song reached number one on the Finnish charts in 2002. "Would You Love a Monsterman?" was originally written as "I Would Do It All For You" when Mr Lordi wrote and recorded it for the first demo album in 1993. Erna Siikavirta
Erna Inari Kaarina Siikavirta (born 8 October 1977) is a Finnish keyboard player. She is best known as a member of the rock band Lordi, which she joined in 1997 under the stage name Enary. She left the band in 2005, at the request of the other members. In 1998, Erna joined Children of Bodom on their first European tour, temporarily replacing keyboardist Janne Wirman. In the same year, Erna sang soprano on the album ''Fallen Angel's Symphony'' for the German band Ancient Ceremony. In 1999, she played keyboard for Sinergy during their live gigs. Erna was also keyboardist for the Finnish group Grain, until their split in 2001. In 2001 and 2002, she played synthesizer in Markku Klami's ''Meditation (op. 10/1)'' and ''Hymn for Christmas''. Sampsa Astala
Sampsa Astala, (born 23 January 1974), known by stage names Stala and Kita, is the lead singer of the Finnish glam rock band Stala & SO. and the former and original drummer for the metal band Lordi. His current stage name, Stala, comes from his own surname, Astala. His other stage name, which he used during his time in Lordi and whenever appearing as drummer, Kita, comes from the Finnish word meaning "jaws", "gap", or "maw". Career Sampsa Astala created Stala & SO. as SO, back in 1997. The band recorded a few albums and toured in Finland but Astala didn't have much time for Stala & SO anymore since he joined Lordi in 2000 as drummer. Amen (musician)
Jussi Sydänmaa (born 26 June 1972) is a Finnish guitarist and a former founding member of the rock band Lordi, performing by the stage name of Amen until his departure in May 2022. He graduated as an Information Technology engineer in 2001 and had been making the website of Lordi. Sydänmaa plays Schechter guitars (specifically the Solo II Custom and the Hellraiser Solo II). The municipality of Mäntsälä granted Sydänmaa with a statue named "Hard Rock Stone" on 26 June 2006. Sydänmaa has been featured as a special guest on Markus Striegls concert in 2011 and Doro Pesch's concert in 2014. He has also recorded guitar riffs which were used by Ari Pulkkinen to create the soundtrack for the video game ''Shadowgrounds''. Mr Lordi
Tomi Petteri Putaansuu (born 15 February 1974), best known by his stage names Mr Lordi or Mr L, is a Finnish musician, businessman, special effect make-up artist, songwriter, painter, comics artist and graphic designer. He is best known as the lead vocalist of heavy metal/ hard rock band Lordi. In the band he is responsible for songwriting and creating all the masks, costumes, graphics and stage props. Mr Lordi has written songs and provided album artwork for bands such as Rotten Sound, Jope Ruonansuu, Domination Black, Grandevils and Agnes Pihlava. He has also had a few art exhibitions in Finland.
