Get Ed
''Get Ed'' is a computer-animated television series about a genetically engineered teenage delivery boy who fights industrial crime in Progress City. The show aired as a part of the Jetix programming block on the United States cable television network Toon Disney until the channel closed in 2009. The series also used to run on ABC Family before the channel switched to a non-animated format. Reruns aired on Toon Disney's successor, Disney XD in 2009. It was the second original show produced for the Jetix block and for the Jetix channels worldwide, where the show aired in 2005. Plot In the series, Ed is an "electro-genetically" enhanced teen who works for Dojo Deliveries, a courier service, in the futuristic Progress City. Andy Knight
Andrew James Knight (November 23, 1961 – April 11, 2008) was a Canadian animator, film and television director, voice actor, and creator of ''Ned's Newt'', '' Pig City'' and ''Get Ed''. Life and career Andy Knight was born in Pembroke, Ontario, the son of Geoffrey and Betty Knight, and has two older siblings, Fiona Knight-Gagné and Peter Knight. Knight's entry into the animation industry was with the Gaumont Film Company in Paris. During his time in France he worked on a number of film and television projects, including the ''Inspector Gadget'' series. In 1989 he moved to London, as Creative Director of the Passion Pictures studio. In 1992 he and his wife, Linzi, struck out on their own, founding Red Rover Studios in London. Holography is a technique that enables a wavefront to be recorded and later re-constructed. Genetic engineering, also called genetic modification or genetic manipulation, is the modification and manipulation of an organism's genes using technology. It is a set of technologies used to change the genetic makeup of cells, including the transfer of genes within and across species boundaries to produce improved or novel organisms.
