Get Along (DVD)
''Get Along'' is the third DVD released by Canadian indie rock duo Tegan and Sara. It was released November 15, 2011 by Warner Bros. Records and was reissued on vinyl in April 2012. ''Get Along'' is a collection of three films and a live album. The first film, ''States'', is a 30-minute documentary that showcases American touring footage and interviews with Tegan and Sara, detailing the early stages of their career and interactions with their fans. The second film, ''India'', is a 25-minute documentary shot during Tegan and Sara's tour of India, utilising interview footage with the band as well as their family and friends. The third film, ''For the Most Part'', is a 70-minute stripped-down studio concert, shot before a live audience of 75 people over two days at The Warehouse Studios in Vancouver. Tegan And Sara
Tegan and Sara () are a Canadian indie pop duo formed in 1998 in Calgary, Alberta. The band is led by identical twin sisters Tegan Rain Quin and Sara Keirsten Quin (born September 19, 1980). Both musicians are songwriters and multi-instrumentalists. The duo has released 10 studio albums. They have earned a Grammy nomination in 2012 for their video album '' Get Along''. Their 10th album ''Crybaby'' was released on October 21, 2022. Tegan and Sara's memoir ''High School'' was released on September 24, 2019. The TV series of the same name based on the memoir was released on Amazon Freevee in the fall of 2022. "Alligator" is the second single taken from Canadian rock duo Tegan and Sara's sixth studio album '' Sainthood'' (2009). It was originally released in the United Kingdom in October 2009, a day before the release of the album, as a digital download. In March 2010, the single was released 17 track remix album in the United Kingdom, United States and Canada as a digital download and 12" vinyl. The single charted at number 32 in the ''Billboard'' Hot Dance Club Songs. Sara has stated that the song "was the first song I wrote for Tegan and Sara that didn't involve guitar whatsoever. There were lots of songs I'd written where I took guitars out or fooled with the instrumentation later on, but ''Alligator'' was the first song that I sat down and wrote without even thinking of the guitar. The Juno Awards of 2012 honoured Canadian music industry achievements in the latter part of 2010 and in most of 2011. The awards were presented in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada during the weekend of 31 March and 1 April 2012. A week of related events began on 26 March 2012. Blue Rodeo was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. Broadcast executive Gary Slaight was designated the 2012 recipient of the Walt Grealis Special Achievement Award. Bidding Ottawa's bid for the awards became known in March 2011 when it was revealed the province of Ontario allocated $100,000 in funding towards the city's 2012 Juno Awards bid. The bid was jointly supported by the city, the province and the National Capital Commission. Ottawa hosted the awards on one other occasion, in 2003. Montreal was also considered as a 2012 host city. Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros is an American folk rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 2005. The group is led by singer Alex Ebert. The band's name is based on a story Ebert wrote in his youth, about a messianic figure named Edward Sharpe. Drawing from roots rock, folk, gospel, and psychedelic music, the band's image and sound evoke the hippie movement of the 1960s and 1970s. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Originally used to describe independent record labels, the term became associated with the music they produced and was initially used interchangeably with alternative rock or "Pop rock, guitar pop rock".
