Germany Men's National Under-17 Basketball Team
The Germany men's national under-16 and under-17 basketball team is for men basketball sides that represents Germany in international under-16 and under-17 (under age 16 and under age 17) competitions. It is organized and run by the German Basketball Federation (''Deutscher Basketball Bund''). Former members include Lukas Herzog (basketball), Lukas Herzog and Ariel Hukporti who were both part of the Porsche Basketball Academy, the youth division of Riesen Ludwigsburg. The German Basketball Federation (german: Deutscher Basketball Bund, abbreviated as DBB), is the governing body for basketball in Germany. It is headquartered in Hagen, Germany. FIBA Under-17 Basketball World Cup
The FIBA Under-17 Basketball World Cup (formerly FIBA Under-17 World Championship) is the under-17 men's world basketball championship organised by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA). The event was held for the first time in July 2010, and is held biennially. Composition According to the updated FIBA Internal Regulations, the FIBA Under-17 World Cup shall be held every two years (2016, 2018, 2020, etc.). 2010 FIBA Under-17 World Championship
The 2010 FIBA Under-17 World Championship (German: FIBA U17-Weltmeisterschaft 2010) was the inaugural edition of the FIBA Under-17 World Championship, the biennial international men's youth basketball championship contested by the U17 national teams of the member associations of FIBA. FIBA U16 European Championship
The FIBA U16 European Championship, previously known as the FIBA Europe Championship for Cadets, is a youth basketball competition that was inaugurated with the 1971 edition. Through the 2003 edition, it was held every second year, but since the 2004 edition onward, it is held every year. It serves as the qualification tournament for the FIBA Under-17 World Cup in odd years, for the FIBA Europe region. The current champions are Lithuania. Ariel Washington Hukporti (born 12 April 2002) is a German-Togolese professional basketball player for Melbourne United of the National Basketball League (NBL). Early life and youth career Hukporti was born in Stralsund, Germany to Togolese parents and was raised by a single mother. He grew up playing football as a defender.
