Germany At The 1992 Winter Olympics
Germany competed at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, France. It was the first time that the nation had competed at the Olympic Games following reunification in 1990. Previously, West Germany and East Germany had sent independent teams to the Games. Competitors The following is the list of number of competitors in the Games. German Olympic Sports Confederation
The German Olympic Sports Confederation (german: Deutscher Olympischer Sportbund or DOSB) was founded on 20 May 2006 by a merger of the ''Deutscher Sportbund'' (DSB), and the ''Nationales Olympisches Komitee für Deutschland'' (NOK) which dates back to 1895, the year it was founded and recognized as NOC by the IOC. Biography In 2005, at the age of 39, she made a comeback in the new Olympic discipline of ski cross. She won her first World Cup start at Grindelwald on March 5, 2005. She also finished twice on the podium, the latest a second place at St. Johann in Tirol on January 5, 2009. Markus Wasmeier (; born 9 September 1963 is a former World Cup alpine ski racer from Germany. He was world champion and twice Olympic champion. At the 1985 World Championships at Bormio, Italy, he won the Giant Slalom at age 21, before recording a World Cup victory. Born in Schliersee, Bavaria, West Germany, Wasmeier's first World Cup Race was on 5 February 1983, when he finished 49th in the Downhill Race at St. Anton am Arlberg.
