Gerd Søraa (8 April 1934 – 8 March 2018) was a Norwegian writer and politician for the Liberal People's Party. Liberal People's Party (Norway)
The Liberal People's Party ( no, Det Liberale Folkepartiet, DLF) was a classical liberal Norwegian political party created in 1992 by some of the members of the old Liberal People's Party. History During the 1990s, some of the Progress Party's members considered the party to have become less liberal than it had been in its earlier days. These members of the Progress Party then decided to join the DLF. The DLF then took increasingly more classically liberal viewpoints on most issues, emerging as a promoter of economic liberalism and laissez-faire capitalism. The party's politics states that the state should only protect individuals' rights through police, courts of law and a military service. With meager showings in parliamentary elections, DLF's best result was achieved in the 2009 parliamentary election. Sør-Trøndelag () was a county comprising the southern portion of the present-day Trøndelag county in Norway. It bordered the old Nord-Trøndelag county as well as the counties of Møre og Romsdal, Oppland, and Hedmark. To the west is the Norwegian Sea (Atlantic Ocean), and to the east is Jämtland in Sweden. The county was separated into a northern and southern part by the Trondheimsfjord. Slightly over 200,000 of the county's population (or around 55%) lives in the city of Trondheim and its suburbs. The Norwegian dialect of the region is Trøndersk. The region was divided into two administrative counties in 1804. Storting
The Storting ( no, Stortinget ) (lit. the Great Thing) is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. It is located in Oslo. The unicameral parliament has 169 members and is elected every four years based on party-list proportional representation in nineteen multi-seat constituencies. A member of Stortinget is known in Norwegian as a ''stortingsrepresentant'', literally "Storting representative". The assembly is led by a president and, since 2009, five vice presidents: the presidium. The members are allocated to twelve standing committees as well as four procedural committees. Øyvind Bjorvatn
Øyvind Bjorvatn (26 April 1931 – 9 February 2015) was a Norwegian politician for the Liberal Party and later the Liberal People's Party. He was born in Herefoss. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Aust-Agder in 1965, and was re-elected on one occasion. During his second term, in December 1972, Bjorvatn joined the Liberal People's Party which split from the Liberal Party over disagreements of Norway's proposed entry to the European Economic Community. He later served in the position of deputy representative for the joint list of the Centre Party, the Christian Democratic Party, the Liberal Party and the Liberal People's Party during the term 1977–1981. He then became the party leader of the Liberal People's Party, and held this position from 1982 to 1986.
