Gerard Tebroke
Gerardus Franciscus Tebroke (9 November 1949 – 19 March 1995) was a runner from the Netherlands. He competed at the 1980 Summer Olympics in 10,000 m and finished in 14th place. In 1978, Tebroke set new national records in 5,000 m (13'21.68) and 10,000 m (27'36.64), which stood until 1997 and 2000. He died unexpectedly from an intracranial hemorrhage. Enschede (; known as in the local Twents dialect) is a municipality and city in the eastern Netherlands in the province of Overijssel and in the Twente region. Intracranial hemorrhage (ICH), also known as intracranial bleed, is bleeding within the skull. Subtypes are intracerebral bleeds ( intraventricular bleeds and intraparenchymal bleeds), subarachnoid bleeds, epidural bleeds, and subdural bleeds. More often than not it ends in a lethal outcome. Aalten () is a municipality and a town in the eastern Netherlands. The former municipalities of Bredevoort (1818) and Dinxperlo (2005) have been merged with Aalten. Hermanus Richardus Johannes "Harry" Schulting (born 14 February 1956) is a Dutch former middle-distance runner and hurdler. Schulting won a gold medal on the 400 m hurdles at the 1979 Summer Universiade in Mexico City in 48.44 seconds, a time that is still (as of 2022) the Dutch national record.
