Gerard Corben
Gerard "Ged" Corben was the lead guitarist of The Lime Spiders, between 1985 and 2016. The band released three studio albums. The band toured the US, UK, Europe and widely through Australia. In 1987, he and his brother David "d" Corben (bass guitar) formed The Cruel Sea with Danny Rumour on guitar & Lucky Jim Elliott on drums. They both played with the band from its inception before Tex Perkins joined, "d" leaving in 1989. Ged stayed on until 1992, leaving to concentrate on The Lime Spiders. He appears on four studio tracks with the band on their first release “Down Below”. He still plays instrumental surf music with "The White Pointers". Lime Spiders Joined Lime Spiders 1985. He toured and recorded three studio albums with them, as well as a number of singles and one-off tracks, until 1992, leaving due to personal differences. He teamed up with the band again in 1996. Lime Spiders
Lime Spiders were an Australian punk rock band which formed in 1979 with Mick Blood on lead vocals. He was later joined by Tony Bambach on bass guitar, Gerard Corben on guitar, Richard Lawson on drums, and David Sparks on guitar. Their debut studio album, ''The Cave Comes Alive!'' was released in June 1987 and reached the top 60 on the Kent Music Report Albums Chart. Their most successful single, "Weirdo Libido", was released in January that year and reached the top 50 on the related Kent Music Report Singles Chart. In April its music video was the first ever shown on Australian Broadcasting Corporation TV music series '' rage''. The track was used on the 1988 feature film ''Young Einstein''s soundtrack. The Cruel Sea (band)
The Cruel Sea are an Australian indie rock band from Sydney, New South Wales formed in late 1987. Originally an instrumental-only band, they became more popular when fronted by vocalist Tex Perkins (Beasts of Bourbon and solo) in addition to Jim Elliott on drums, Ken Gormly on bass guitar, Dan Rumour on guitar and James Cruickshank on guitar and keyboards. Their albums include ''The Honeymoon Is Over'' (1993), '' Three Legged Dog'' (1995) and ''Over Easy'' (1998). Classical Guitar
The classical guitar (also known as the nylon-string guitar or Spanish guitar) is a member of the guitar family used in classical music and other styles.
