Gerald O'Brien (composer)
Gerald O'Brien is a Canadian-born songwriter and composer. Music In 1988, O’Brien and friend/keyboardist Steve Sexton teamed up to form the instrumental duo "Exchange", as they share an interest in instrumental music and TV and film scoring. Their first album ''Into The Night'' was released in 1989 on Passport Records in New York and remains one of their most successful albums. Their second album, ''Between Places'', appeared on Billboard's Top 10 World Music Charts. They released four more albums in the 1990s. Their song "Til the Last Teardrop Falls" featuring Marc Jordan and Amy Sky was also cut and released by David Hasselhoff and seen on the TV series ''Baywatch''. Gerald O'Brien
John Gerald O’Brien (2 December 1924 – 13 December 2017), known as Gerald O'Brien, was a New Zealand politician of the Labour Party. Early life O'Brien was born in Wellington on 2 December 1924, the son of John Thomas O'Brien, and was educated at St Patrick's College. He joined the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) in 1942 when he was 17 and trained as a radar operator in Harewood and Wigram. He did not see overseas' service as the Americans "had enough manpower in hatarea". In 1956, O'Brien married Fausta Filipidis. O'Brien owned and operated his own business Enzart Import Ltd. which exported locally manufactured products overseas. He was also a member of the Brooklyn Progressive Association and Brooklyn Community Association. Steve Sexton
Steve Sexton is a Canadian composer, arranger, musical director, producer and keyboardist. He served as Canadian singer Anne Murray's Musical Director for 25 years with responsibilities as her pianist, conductor, arranger, and on occasion her producer. Early career Sexton was born in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada. He graduated from Richmond Hill High School and received a music degree from The University of Western Ontario and a performance degree from the Western Ontario Conservatory of Music. He was a member of the Canadian rock band, Red Rider, from 1982 to 1984 and appears as keyboardist on their albums ''Breaking Curfew'' and '' Neruda''. He was one half (with Gerald O'Brien) of the jazz/new-age ensemble, Exchange, whose recordings include ''Between Places'', ''Into the Night'', ''Exchange'', and ''Beyond Words''. Amy Sky (born 24 September 1960) is a Canadian singer-songwriter, record producer, theatre actress, and television host. Sky started classical music lessons at the age of five, and plays piano, guitar, cello and recorder. She has a degree from the University of Toronto in music theory and composition. In 1983, Sky was signed as a staff songwriter to MCA Music Nashville, and subsequently to Warner-Chappell Music in Los Angeles, EMI Music Los Angeles, and Warner-Chappell Music Germany.
