Georgia In The Eurovision Song Contest 2013
Georgia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 with the song "Waterfall" written by Thomas G:son and Erik Bernholm. The song was performed by Nodi Tatishvili and Sophie Gelovani, who were internally selected in December 2012 by the Georgian broadcaster Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) to compete at the 2013 contest in Malmö, Sweden. The Georgian entry, "Waterfall", was presented to the public on 27 February 2013. Georgia was drawn to compete in the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 16 May 2013. Performing during the show in position 15, "Waterfall" was announced among the top 10 entries of the second semi-final and therefore qualified to compete in the final on 18 May. Nodiko Tatishvili
Nodiko "Nodar" Tatishvili () (born November 5, 1986) is a Georgian singer. Biography He was six years old when he made his first appearance in the Tbilisi Great Concert Hall. He was a soloist of children ensemble. At the age of eight, he won the national contest and already at age nine singing with the ensemble Iveria in the musical Two Dwarfs. During the "mutation period" Nodiko took a part in the television project "School of Nutsa" and after that many popular composers and musicians. In the periods from 2005 to 2009, Nodiko has participated in many prestigious music festivals and projects, but in 2009 he was featured in the popular Georgian TV show Geostar, where he won and became GEOSTAR 2009(pop idol 2009) He and Sopho Gelovani represented Georgia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö, Sweden. Tsinandali ( ka, წინანდალი) is a village in Kakheti, Georgia, situated in the district of Telavi, 79 km east of Tbilisi. It is noted for the palace and historic winery-estate which once belonged to the 19th-century aristocratic poet Alexander Chavchavadze (1786–1846) and which, since 2019, is the venue for the Tsinandali Festival.
