Georgia Murray
Georgia Murray is a Canadian singer-songwriter whose 2009 song titled "We'll Never Know" was plagiarized by composer Bahnus to create the song "Swing" (feat. LeeSang) for Korean pop star Lee Hyori. "Swing" became the number one song in Korea on 4 April 2010. Georgia was later compensated and given a writing credit from MNet Media, the Seoul-based entertainment company that had released the plagiarized song. Murray portrayed herself in an episode of the ABC show '' Boston Legal'' in its second season. On 18 September 2011, Murray was named one of the eight final contestants vying for $100,000 and a recording contract with Universal Canada on '' Cover Me Canada'', CBC Television's live music competition series. She won ''Fan Favourite'' at Victoria BC's ''Times Colonist'' 2011 Music Awards. Port McNeill, British Columbia
Port McNeill is a town in the North Island region of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada with a population of 2,356 (2021). Located on Vancouver Island's north-east shore on Queen Charlotte Strait, it was originally a base camp for loggers. Port McNeill became a settlement in 1936. Contrary to what the name suggests, ''Monday'' was distributed throughout the greater Victoria area every Thursday until July 2013 when it became an arts calendar monthly. The publication features articles on art, food and entertainment in Victoria but is most widely used as an event listing. CKPK-FM (102.7 FM, ''102.7 Now! Radio'') is a radio station in Vancouver, British Columbia. Owned by Pattison Media, it broadcasts an adult contemporary format. Its studios are located on West 8th Avenue in the Fairview neighbourhood of Vancouver, while its transmitter is located atop Mount Seymour. The station first signed on with an experimental license in 1923 as CFXC, and was renamed CJOR in 1926. It moved to its long-time home of 600 AM in 1930.
