Cleveland Cobras
The Cleveland Stars were an American soccer club based in Cleveland, Ohio and a member of the American Soccer League in 1972–73. Before the 1974 season, the name was changed to the Cleveland Cobras. Overview The Stars' colors were blue and white. The Cobras' colors were green and gold, though in 1979 they also wore alternate uniforms of gold/black and in 1981 often donned green/white uniforms. The Cobras actively promoted youth soccer. Hundreds of clinics and camps conducted by its players established a solid youth soccer base throughout northeast Ohio — though the club did not play long enough to reap the benefits of the kids growing up to becoming ticket-buying adults. James R. Hallford Stadium is a football stadium in Clarkston, Georgia. Until 1999 it was called DeKalb Memorial Stadium. The stadium holds 15,000 spectators and is currently used by two DeKalb County high schools. The stadium is also used by all DeKalb County high school football teams for all home state football playoff games as this is the largest stadium and the only stadium with bleachers on both sides of the field in the DeKalb County School District. The GHSA held football championship games here in 1970, 1972, 1973, 1993, and 1995. Clarkston, Georgia
Clarkston is a city in DeKalb County, Georgia, United States. The population was 7,554 as of the 2010 census. The city is noted for its ethnic diversity, and is often referred to as "the most diverse square mile in America" and "the Ellis Island of the South." In the 1990s, refugee resettlement programs identified Clarkston as a good fit for displaced persons of many backgrounds. The rental market was open, residents were moving farther out from the Atlanta urban core, and Clarkston was the last stop on a transit line into the city. David Edwin Chadwick (born 19 August 1943) is an English retired professional footballer/soccer player, who played as a wing-forward, before a career coaching in the United States. He was born in Ootacamund, India. Playing career Chadwick began his career as a junior with Southampton, and became the youngest player to appear for their reserves on 31 October 1959, aged 16 years 73 days. He turned professional in October 1960 and made his first-team debut on 4 November 1961, at home to Bristol Rovers in place of the injured Terry Paine. His six years at the Dell were spent in the shadow of Paine and John Sydenham and as a result he only made 25 league appearances for The Saints, in which he scored once. In July 1966 he moved to Middlesbrough, costing the Ayresome Park side £10,000, and slotted straight into the side, making his Boro debut on 20 August against Colchester United.
