Michael Jason Isbell (; born February 1, 1979) is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist. He is known for his solo career, his work with the band The 400 Unit, and as a member of Drive-By Truckers for six years, from 2001 to 2007. Isbell has won four Grammy Awards. Drivin' n' Cryin' is an American Southern rock band from Atlanta, Georgia, United States. History The band was formed in 1985 in Atlanta when Kevin Kinney hooked up with Frank French at the latter's recording studio, Dragon Path Music, and began working on original songs at night and working at times at French's shop "Far East Futon Company" in Atlanta. Precious Bryant (née Bussey; January 4, 1942 – January 12, 2013) was an American country blues, gospel, and folk singer and guitarist. Bryant is described as one of Georgia's great blueswomen. It is the 10th song on her fourth album, ''Moon Pix'', released in September 1998 on Matador Records. Origin and recording "Cross Bones Style," along with five other songs from ''Moon Pix'', was written by Marshall one night in the fall of 1997, after she awoke from a hallucinatory nightmare while alone in the South Carolina farmhouse she shared with then-boyfriend, American musician Bill Callahan.
