Georgi Djulgerov
Georgi Djulgerov ( bg, Георги Дюлгеров) is a Bulgarian film director, screenwriter, producer and professor at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts. Career Djulgerov was born in Burgas, Bulgaria, on 30 September 1943. After graduating from the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography in Moscow in 1970, he directed numerous feature films and several documentaries, many of which were shown in the competition or parallel programs of the international film festivals in Berlin, Locarno, Oberhausen, Avellino, Palermo, Rotterdam, Montreal, San Francisco, Batumi, Mons, Mannheim-Heidelberg, and Sarajevo. His movies have also been screened in special programs in Warsaw, Paris, New York, London, Frankfurt-am-Main, Moscow, Kiev, Vienna, Los Angeles, La Rochelle, Riga, Bratislava, Fujisawa, Genoa. Burgas
Burgas ( bg, Бургас, ), sometimes transliterated as ''Bourgas'', is the second largest city on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast in the region of Northern Thrace and the fourth-largest in Bulgaria after Sofia, Plovdiv, and Varna, with a population of 202,694 inhabitants, while 277,922 live in its urban area. Yordan Radichkov
Yordan Radichkov ( bg, Йордан Радичков; 24 October 1929 – 21 January 2004) was a Bulgarian writer and playwright. Literary critics Adelina Angusheva and Galin Tihanov called him "arguably the most significant voice of Bulgarian literature in the last third of the 20th century". Some literary critics have referred to him as the Bulgarian Kafka or Gogol. Radichkov is widely known for his numerous short stories, novels and plays. He is also known for the screenplays of the Bulgarian film classics ''Torrid Noon'' (1966) directed by Zako Heskiya, ''The Tied Up Balloon'' (1967) and '' The Last Summer'' (1974). Locarno International Film Festival
The Locarno Film Festival is an annual film festival, held every August in Locarno, Switzerland. Founded in 1946, the festival screens films in various competitive and non-competitive sections, including feature-length narrative, documentary, short, avant-garde, and retrospective programs. The Piazza Grande section is held in an open-air venue that seats 8,000 spectators. The top prize of the festival is the Golden Leopard, awarded to the best film in the International Competition. International Short Film Festival Oberhausen
The International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, founded in 1954, is one of the oldest short film festivals in the world. Held in Oberhausen, it is one of the major international platforms for the short form.
