Benenden
Benenden is a village and civil parish in the borough of Tunbridge Wells in Kent, England. The parish is located on the Weald, to the west of Tenterden. In addition to the main village, Iden Green, East End, Dingleden and Standen Street settlements are included in the parish. The parish church is dedicated to St George, and is a 19th-century building on the site of a medieval building destroyed in a fire. Benenden School, a private girls boarding school is located to the north of the village. Hawkhurst Moor
Hawkhurst Moor is a village green and sports field at Hawkhurst in Kent. It was the centre of the original village and lies to the south of the modern town, with the A229 road running across the area.Milton 1979, p. 7. A cricket ground on the Moor was the venue for two first-class cricket matches in the 1820s. The Moor was originally an area of common land. The right to hold an annual fair was held on the green was established by a deed granted by Edward II in 1311, and a fair was held annually until the 19th century.
