Carvone is a member of a family of chemicals called terpenoids. Carvone is found naturally in many essential oils, but is most abundant in the oils from seeds of caraway (''Carum carvi''), spearmint (''Mentha spicata''), and dill. Uses Both carvones are used in the food and flavor industry. ''R''-(−)-Carvone is also used for air freshening products and, like many essential oils, oils containing carvones are used in aromatherapy and alternative medicine. George Waggner
George Waggner (September 7, 1894 – December 11, 1984) was an American actor, director, producer and writer. He is best known for producing and directing the 1941 film '' The Wolf Man''. For some unknown reason, Waggner sometimes configured his name in mostly lowercase letters but with his surname's two Gs capitalized ("waGGner"), including in the credits of some of the productions he directed. Career Born in New York City, he trained as a chemist and served in World War I before coming to Hollywood to pursue a career as an actor. He made his film debut as an actor portraying Yousayef in '' The Sheik'' (1921). He later acted in Western films. The first film he directed was ''Western Trails'' (1938). The Pike County Shootings, also known as the Pike County Massacre, occurred on the night of April 21–22, 2016, when eight people all belonging to the Rhoden family were shot and killed in four homes in Pike County, Ohio, Pike County, Ohio, near the village of Peebles, Ohio, Peebles, from Columbus, Ohio, Columbus and from Cincinnati. Deepwater Cisco
The deepwater cisco (''Coregonus johannae'') was one of the largest ciscoes in the Great Lakes. Its average length was 30 cm (12 inches) and it was about 1.0 kilogram (2.2 pounds) in weight. Occurring only in Lakes Huron and Michigan, and inhabiting waters between 50 and 150 metres deep, it was difficult to distinguish from other ciscoes and was possibly the same species as the shortjaw cisco (''Coregonus zenithicus''). The deepwater cisco was distinguished by usually having fewer than 33 gill rakers, relatively long pectoral fins, and unpigmented jaws. It was a silvery colour with a pink or purple lustre and a green or blue back. It spawned in August and September, earlier than most other ciscoes. Not much is known about its specific behaviors. Georgian Grande Horse is a new horse breed being developed from crossbreeding the American Saddlebred with the Friesian horse and assorted draft horse breeds. The aim of the breeding is to create a Saddlebred-like horse that adds the best qualities of heavier breeds. One goal of the breed registry is to recreate a historic type of Saddlebred which was common prior to the 20th century, but that has been less emphasized in modern times. History The first attempts to create a new, heavier Saddlebred-type breed were made in the 1970s by George Wagner Jr, in Piketon, Ohio. His ambition was to recreate the stockier, sturdier look of the Saddlebred of older times, such as the animals used as cavalry mounts during the American Civil War. Leavenworth Nutcracker Museum is a museum dedicated to nutcrackers, located in Leavenworth, Washington. Founded by Arlene Wagner and her husband George in 1995, the museum housed over 7,000 nutcrackers in 2020. She taught multiple productions of ''The Nutcracker'', and became enamored of nutcrackers. She began collecting them during the 1960s. The museum's building is of a Bavarian style and has an area of 5,000 square feet. Wagner came to be known as "the Nutcracker Lady". The Museum was featured on the NBC program ''Today'' in 2000. In 2001, the museum became a part of the National Heritage Foundation. Wykeham Terrace is a row of 12 early 19th-century houses in central Brighton, part of the English city of Brighton and Hove.
