George Tutuska
George Tutuska (born February 27, 1965) is an American musician, best known as the former drummer of the alternative rock band Goo Goo Dolls. Life and career Tutuska is from Buffalo, New York. He is of Irish and Hungarian descent, and he is married with two children. Goo Goo Dolls Tutuska played drums with the Goo Goo Dolls from 1985 to 1994. Departure Prior to Tutuska's departure from the Goo Goo Dolls, there was a payment dispute between him and long-time friend and singer/guitarist John Rzeznik over Tutuska's contribution to the writing of the ''Superstar Car Wash'' single "Fallin' Down". During the completion of ''A Boy Named Goo'', Tutuska had told band management that he would not tour behind the album unless royalties were to be split evenly among the three members, a practice Tutuska said had been the band's standard practice ever since the release of its self-titled debut in 1987. Jackdaw (band)
Jackdaw was a Celtic rock band from Buffalo, NY from 2000 to 2009. One of the group's members, George Tutuska, was a former drummer for the Goo Goo Dolls. The band formed in 2000, when Tim Byrne, returning from Europe and Tutuska looking to do something different approached singer/songwriter and Celtic performer Geno McManus about joining him up on his annual "Irish Week" of gigs. After a night of "hanging and drinking" with Tim and George the idea of the band was formed and they started the idea to create a "Brick Throwing" Celtic Rock band, that was "Factory Born" and based on their Irish heritage and industrial South Buffalo area roots. McManus then recruited Tommy Jordan to play bass (Jordan also came up with the band's name based on a passage from the Frank McCourt memoir ''Angela's Ashes''), and thus the core band was formed. Michael Theodore Malinin (born October 10, 1967) is an American musician known for his work as drummer of the Goo Goo Dolls. He has been drumming for Tanya Tucker since 2016. Family Michael Malinin was born in Washington, D.C., one of the four children of Dorothy ( Rearick) and Dr. Theodore Malinin ( Fedor Malinin), a surgeon. His father was born in Krasnodar, Russia, and emigrated to the United States in 1949. His mother is from Illinois, of German and English descent.
