George Topping
George Thomas Dungate Topping (27 August 1881 – 17 November 1958) was an Australian rules footballer and umpire in the Victorian Football League. Playing career Originally recruited from Carlton Juniors, Topping made his debut for the Carlton Football Club in Round 10 of the 1902 season. Playing mainly in the forward line, he was a good marker and accurate kicker with a good sense of where to go to get the ball. His firepower was vital in Carlton's hat-trick of premierships from 1906 to 1908, with totals of 25, 26, and 16 goals in those respective seasons. The following year, the Blues were just beaten by South Melbourne in the grand final, but Topping had his best scoring year with a total of 36 goals and playing in every match. Lardie Tulloch
Lawrence Gideon "Lardie" Tulloch (15 April 1871 – 13 September 1955) was an Australian rules footballer who played for the Collingwood Football Club in the early years of the Victorian Football League (VFL). Tulloch was born in Melbourne, the son of Daniel Tulloch and Elizabeth Trethway. Tulloch was a member of the Collingwood side which played in the inaugural VFL season, in 1897. A versatile player who was used at all ends of the ground, Tulloch was appointed Collingwood captain in 1902 and led Collingwood to the premiership that season, putting his name into history as the club's first ever VFL premiership winning captain. Another premiership followed the subsequent season and he remained captain for 1904, which was his final league season. Andy McDonald (27 December 1885 – 12 May 1967) was an Australian rules footballer who played for Carlton in the Victorian Football League The Victorian Football League (VFL) is an Australian rules football league in Australia serving as one of the second-tier regional semi-professional competitions which sit underneath the fully professional Australian Football League (AFL). Bert Streckfuss
Albert Frederick Streckfuss (22 September 1888 – 23 June 1974) was an Australian rules footballer who played with South Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL), and with Williamstown and Port Melbourne in the Victorian Football Association (VFA). Family The son of Heinrich Moritz Streckfuss (1833-1917), and his second wife, Lina Streckfuss (1848-1918), née Lohse, Albert Frederick Streckfuss was born in Goornong, Victoria on 22 September 1888. He married Lilian Victoria Chambers in 1912. The 1909 VFL Grand Final was an Australian rules football game contested between the Carlton Football Club and South Melbourne Football Club, held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne on 2 October 1909. It was the 12th annual Grand Final of the Victorian Football League, staged to determine the premiers for the 1909 VFL season. The match, attended by 37,759 spectators, was won by South Melbourne by two points, marking that club's first premiership victory. The Season Carlton and South Melbourne finished in the top two during the minor round of the 1909 season, each finishing with a 14–4 record. The Sydney Swans are a professional Australian rules football club based in Sydney, New South Wales. The men's team competes in the Australian Football League (AFL), and the women's team in the AFL Women's (AFLW). The Swans also field a reserves men's team in the Victorian Football League (VFL).
