George Soule Spencer
George Soule Spencer (1874–1949) was an American actor who appeared on stage and in silent films including in lead roles. He was married to Lillian White Spencer. They wrote ''The Flower of Chivalry'' in 1901. He starred in the film '' The Evangelist'' (1916) with Gladys Hanson. He also starred in '' The College Widow'' (1915) with Ethel Clayton. ''The Climbers'' is a lost 1915 silent film produced by the Lubin Manufacturing Company and starring Gladys Hanson; it is the first filming of Clyde Fitch's 1901 play of the same name. Later versions of Fitch's play were made in 1919 as '' The Climbers'' with Corinne Griffith and in 1927 also as '' The Climbers'' with Irene Rich.
