	George Sherwood (Canadian Politician) George Sherwood (May 29, 1811 – ??) was a judge, lawyer and political figure in Canada West. Family and early life Sherwood was born in Augusta Township in 1811, the son of Levius Peters Sherwood and Charlotte Sherwood, daughter of Ephraim Jones. He was of United Empire Loyalist stock on both sides of his family. His older brother, Henry Sherwood, later became Joint Premier of the Province of Canada. George Sherwood studied law and was called to the bar in 1833, as a barrister at law. The same year he married Marianne Keegan, originally from Nova Scotia. He set up practice in Prescott, originally in partnership with his brother Henry. Later career Elected a bencher of the Law Society of Upper Canada in 1849, Sherwood was named Queen's Counsel in 1856. A member of the Church of England, Sherwood donated land valued at £25 for the foundation of Trinity College, an Anglican college in Toronto. 	George Sherwood (sculptor) George Sherwood (February 6, 1954 - ) is an American kinetic and environmental sculptor. Biography Sherwood was born on February 6, 1954, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and grew up in the Connecticut coastal town of Fairfield. As a child, he found inspiration in nature from sailing trips with his father. In 1976, he was awarded a BFA degree by the Hartford Art School. In the 1970s, he was interested in the art of movement, as practiced by theatrical groups such as Mummenschanz, Pilobolus, and the Celebration Mime Theatre. He developed a theatrical performance animated by humans manipulating large animated props, sculptures, and masks. In 1984, he earned an engineering degree at the University of Vermont, and then did early work with the MIT Media Lab developing what would become LEGO Mindstorms. 	Pauline Starke Pauline Starke (January 10, 1901Some sources say she was born in 1900. – February 3, 1977) was an American silent-film actress. Early years Pauline Starke was born on January 10, 1901, in Joplin, Missouri, the daughter of George W. Starke and Edythe Edna Starke (née Bruce). Starke left school after completing the 5th grade. She accompanied her mother to Los Angeles and caught the attention of D. W. Griffith while her mother was working as an extra. Career Selected as one of the WAMPAS Baby Stars in 1922, Starke starred in a number of films from 1916 to 1935. She made her acting debut as an extra in ''The Birth of a Nation'' (1915) and appeared as a dance extra in ''Intolerance'' (1916). She continued to play bit parts until director Frank Borzage started casting her in leading roles, beginning in 1917.
