George Papp
George Edward Papp (January 20, 1916 – August 8, 1989) was an American comics artist best known as one of the principal artists on the long-running Superboy feature for DC Comics. Papp also co-created the Green Arrow character with Mort Weisinger and co-created Congo Bill with writer Whitney Ellsworth. Career George Papp began his comic book career with the occasional feature and cartoon in early issues of the Superman line of comics. "Pep Morgan" and "Clip Carson" were the first features he worked on for ''Action Comics''. Papp's comics work was primarily for DC Comics but he briefly worked for Columbia Comics and Harvey Comics as well. He and writer Whitney Ellsworth created Congo Bill in ''More Fun Comics'' #56 (June 1940). Papp and Mort Weisinger co-created Green Arrow in ''More Fun Comics'' #73 (Nov. 1941). Don Markstein's Toonopedia
Don Markstein's Toonopedia (subtitled A Vast Repository of Toonological Knowledge) is an online encyclopedia of print cartoons, comic strips and animation, initiated February 13, 2001. Donald D. Markstein, the sole writer and editor of Toonopedia, termed it "the world's first hypertext encyclopedia of toons" and stated, "The basic idea is to cover the entire spectrum of American cartoonery." Markstein began the project during 1999 with several earlier titles: he changed Don's Cartoon Encyberpedia (1999) to Don Markstein's Cartoonopedia (2000) after learning the word "Encyberpedia" had been trademarked. During 2001, he settled on his final title, noting, "Decided (after thinking about it for several weeks) to change the name of the site to Don Markstein's Toonopedia, rather than Cartoonopedia. The Legion of Super-Heroes is a fictional superhero team appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Created by writer Otto Binder and artist Al Plastino, the Legion is a group of superpowered beings living in the 30th and 31st centuries of the , and first appears in '' Adventure Comics'' #247 (April 1958). Initially, the team was closely associated with the original Superboy character ( Superman when he was a teenager), and was portrayed as a group of time travelers. General Zod
General Zod is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, commonly known as an List of Superman enemies, adversary of the superhero Superman.
