George Neville ( 1432 â€“ 8 June 1476) was Archbishop of York from 1465 until 1476 and Chancellor of England from 1460 until 1467 and again from 1470 until 1471. Life Neville was the youngest son of Richard Neville, 5th Earl of Salisbury, and Alice Montagu, 5th Countess of Salisbury. George Neville, or Nevill, 4th and ''de jure'' 2nd Baron Bergavenny (c.1440 – 20 September 1492) was an English nobleman. Career George Neville was the son of Edward Nevill, 3rd Baron Bergavenny, Edward Neville, 3rd Baron Bergavenny and Elizabeth de Beauchamp, Lady of Abergavenny, Elizabeth Beauchamp. He was knighted by Edward IV of England, Edward IV on 9 May 1471, after fighting for the King at the Battle of Tewkesbury. He succeeded his father in 1476. George Nevill, 5th Baron Bergavenny KG, PC (c.1469 – 1535), the family name often written Neville, was an English nobleman and courtier who held the office of Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports. Origins He was the son of George Nevill, 4th Baron Bergavenny (died 20 September 1492) and his first wife, Margaret (died 28 September 1485), daughter of Hugh Fenn, Under-Treasurer of England. His younger brother Sir Thomas Nevill was a trusted councillor of King Henry VIII and Speaker of the House of Commons. George Nevill, 14th Baron Bergavenny
George Nevill, ''de facto'' 14th (''de jure'' 2nd) Baron Bergavenny (16 May 1702 – 15 November 1723) was an English peer. George was the second, but eldest surviving, son of George Nevill, 13th Baron Bergavenny and his wife Anne Walker. He was born on 16 May 1702 and baptised on 26 August 1702 at St Martin-in-the-Fields. On 7 March 1720/1, he succeeded to the barony on the death of his father. He matriculated at University College, Oxford on 13 September 1722. Bergavenny married Elizabeth Thornicroft (d. 1778) on 21 February 1722/3 at St Mary Magdalen Old Fish Street. He died of smallpox on 15 November 1723 in Soho Square, and was buried at Sheffield, Sussex. He had posthumous children by Elizabeth, twin girls born on 20 November 1723, both of whom died on 1 December 1723. George Neville, 1st Baron Latimer
George Neville, 1st Baron Latimer or (Latymer) (died 30 December 1469) was an English nobleman. Life George Neville was the fifth son of Ralph Neville, 1st Earl of Westmorland, by his second wife Joan Beaufort, daughter of John of Gaunt. He succeeded to the Latymer estates on the death of his half-uncle John Neville, 6th Baron Latimer, in 1430 (see Baron Latimer), and on 25 February 1432 he was summoned to Parliament as Baron Latimer. He later fought in Scotland in 1436, was a Justice of the Peace for Cumberland in 1437 and admitted to the Privy Council in 1439. George Neville appears to have suffered from some form of dementia in his later years, as he was described as an "idiot," and the guardianship of his lands was given to his nephew, Richard Neville, 16th Earl of Warwick, the Kingmaker. George Nevill, 1st Earl of Abergavenny (24 June 1727 – 9 September 1785), known as Lord Bergavenny from 1744 to 1784, was an English peer. He married into a branch of the Pelham family seated at Stanmer and briefly held office as Lord Lieutenant of Sussex. Created an earl in 1784, he died the following year. George Neville, Duke of Bedford (1465 – 4 May 1483) was an English nobleman, a scion of the House of Neville. At birth, he was likely heir to great wealth, but due to the political failure of his father and uncle, he inherited very little. He was the son of John Neville, Earl of Northumberland (and later Marquess Montagu) and a nephew of Richard Neville, 16th Earl of Warwick.
