Nicos Anastasiades ( el, Νίκος Αναστασιάδης ; born 27 September 1946) is a Cypriot politician who is the current president of Cyprus since 2013. He was re-elected in 2018. Previously, he was the leader of Democratic Rally between 1997 and 2013 and served as Member of Parliament from Limassol between 1981 and 2013. Education Anastasiades is a lawyer by profession, and the founder of law firm "Nicos Chr. Anastasiades & Partners". He graduated in law from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and completed postgraduate studies in shipping law at University College London. Ionas Nicolaou ( el, Ιωνάς Νικολάου; born 21 January 1963 in Nicosia) is a Cypriot lawyer and former Democratic Rally politician. He served as Minister of Justice and Public Order during two governments, but left office on 1 June 2019 following his resignation. Education and career Nicolaou studied law at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and has a master's degree in European Union Studies. He worked as a lawyer before becoming a politician. Costas J. Clerides (born 1952) is a former attorney general of Cyprus having served between 2013 – 2020. Personal life Costas Clerides was born in 1952 in Nicosia, and educated at the Pancyprian Gymnasium until 1970.
