George Henderson (3 October 1846 – 24 March 1905) was a British architect. Life and career Born at 8 Duke Street in Edinburgh (later renamed Dublin Street), Henderson was the son of architect John Henderson (architect), John Henderson and Hannah Matilda Exley. From 1858–1861 he attended the Royal High School, Edinburgh. He then studied architecture under his father, but his studies were cut short when his father died in June 1862. His education was completed under architect David Cousin who inherited his father's architecture firm. In May 1867 Henderson emigrated to Australia to join Alexander Davidson (architect), Alexander Davidson's firm in Rokewood, Victoria. The two men had previously worked together as assistants to his father. Henderson lived with Davidson and his wife, and he initially worked for Davidson as an unpaid associate. George Lindsay Henderson (March 18, 1916 – June 4, 2008) was a politician in Manitoba, Canada. He was a Progressive Conservative member of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba from 1969 to 1977. Henderson was educated in the Manitoba school system, and worked as a farmer and real-estate agent. He also served as Mayor of Manitou, Manitoba, and was a President of Manitoba Co-operative. He was first elected to the Manitoba legislature in the 1969 election, defeating Liberal Kenneth Draper by 1008 votes in the rural, southern riding of Pembina. George Kennedy Buchanan Henderson (5 December 1922 – 26 September 1997) was a Scottish Anglican bishop in the 20th century. He was Bishop of Argyll and The Isles and elected Primus of the Scottish Episcopal Church. Henderson was educated at the University of Edinburgh and ordained in 1945. He began his ordained ministry with a curacy at Christ Church, Glasgow, after which he was the priest in charge of St Bride's Nether Lochaber and then the rector of St Andrew's Fort William. In 1973, he became Dean of the Diocese of Argyll and The Isles and was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 1974. Krazy George Henderson (born May 6, 1944) is an American professional cheerleader who created the Wave in 1979. Career Henderson began cheerleading while a student at California State University, San Jose in 1968, where he was also a member of the National Championship judo team. After graduating, he continued cheerleading for free at local sporting events, where he became known for leading sectional cheers, accompanied by his hand drum. In the early 1970s, while working as a high school teacher at Buchser High School in Santa Clara, California, Henderson was hired by the California Golden Seals of the National Hockey League to be a cheerleader. George Donald Henderson (15 April 1897 – 14 June 1953) was a Scottish footballer who played professionally in Scotland and briefly in the United States, England and Wales. Playing as a centre forward, he saw his greatest success with Rangers in the 1920s but was never capped by Scotland despite an excellent club scoring record. Football career Henderson was born in Forfar and began his professional career with hometown club Forfar Athletic. Towards the end of the 1910s, he played briefly with Dundee before joining Rangers in November 1919. George Roland Henderson (10 November 1935 – 5 May 2020) was a Canadian politician, shellfish technician, farmer and electrical engineer. He served as a Liberal party member of the House of Commons of Canada. Born in Freeland, Prince Edward Island, Henderson was the son of R. Edgar Henderson and Hazel Edna Hardy, and was educated at Prince of Wales College. In 1960, he married Brenda Jane Matthews. He was president of Malpeque Oyster Cultures Inc.
