George Hall (actor)
George Hall (November 19, 1916 – October 21, 2002) was a Canadian theatre, television, and film actor, best remembered by his role as the 93-year-old Indiana Jones in the TV series ''The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles'' (1992). He debuted on Broadway in 1946. He also played Ernie Tuttle #2 and John the butler on the television soap opera ''The Edge of Night'' and as Mr. Eldridge in the AMC series ''Remember WENN ''Remember WENN'' is a comedy-drama television series that aired from 1996 to 1998 on the cable channel American Movie Classics. Created and written by Rupert Holmes (with music also by Holmes) and set at the fictional Pittsburgh radio station ...'', which aired in the mid-1990s. Death Hall died on October 21, 2002 of complications from a stroke. He was 85 years old. George Joseph Hall
George Joseph Hall (27 January 1857 – 21 November 1924) was a member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly. Biography Hall was born in Theddlethorpe, Lincolnshire, the son of George Hall Snr and was educated at the Theddlethorpe National School. In 1870 he became apprenticed to his father as a carpenter before working as a millwright in Hull. He arrived in Bundaberg on the ''Renfrewshire'' in 1882, and spent a short time in Melbourne before returning to Bundaberg. In 1887, after suffering a serious accident, Hall became a building draughtsman. He returned to England in 1897 where he worked as a pattern-maker in London. Robert Francis George (born 16 December 1945) is an English television presenter and former professional darts player. He is widely recognised as one of the game's biggest personalities, known for his flamboyant entrances in which the "King of Darts" makes his way to the stage bedecked in jewellery, wearing a crown and cloak and holding a candelabra to the Queen song 'We Are the Champions'. George won several leading major darts tournaments, he won the News of the World Darts Championship twice and appeared in two BDO Darts World Championship finals and was the first full-time exhibition player. Rev. George William Hall D.D. (1770–1843) was Master of Pembroke College, Oxford (1809–1843) and Vice-Chancellor of Oxford University (1820–1824). Education He was born on 12 March 1770 and baptised one month later. George was educated at John Roysse's Free School in Abingdon-on-Thames (now Abingdon School). He was a Fellow at Lincoln College and Pembroke College in Oxford. BA 1792, MA 1795, BD and Doctor of Divinity 1809. Career He became Master of Pembroke College, Oxford in 1809 and remained until his death in the third quarter of 1843. He was responsible for overseeing the remodelling of several of the college's features including Broadgates Hall, the Old Quad and the frontage of St. Aldates. He was also Vice Chancellor at Pembroke, from 1820 to 1824. He was rector of Taynton, Gloucestershire and canon of Gloucester from 1810 until his death in 1843. George William Hall (12 March 1912 – 22 May 1967) was an English footballer who played for Notts County, Tottenham Hotspur and the England national team during the 1930s. Football career Hall was born in Newark, Nottinghamshire, and played for Notts County from 1930 before joining Tottenham Hotspur for a fee of £2,600 in 1932. He was a versatile inside forward and skillful dribbler. In his later career he played at full-back. He made his international debut against France in December 1933 and went on to appear in a total of ten international games for England. George Cardinal Joseph Hall (born 15 July 2004) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Birmingham City. Hall has represented England at under-18 and under-19 levels. George William Hall (March 29, 1849 – June 11, 1923) was a professional baseball player who played in the National Association and later the National League. Born in Stepney, England, Hall later immigrated to the U.S. He made his professional debut on May 5, 1871. While playing for the Louisville Grays, he was banned from Major League Baseball after an 1877 gambling scandal. Early career Prior to the inception of professional leagues, Hall played for the Brooklyn Atlantics. He commenced his professional career with the Washington Olympics of the National Association in , hitting .294 in 32 games.
