George Gordon (animator)
George Gordon (September 2, 1906 – May 24, 1986) was an American film and TV animator and director of animated productions. Starting in film in 1930, he moved to TV in its early days. Gordon is credited with hundreds of cartoons from 1937 through 1983. Biography Gordon began working with animation in 1930 at the Terrytoons Studio as an animator on the ''Jesse and James'' and ''Farmer Al Falfa'' Cartoons. In 1937, Gordon left Terrytoons for the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer cartoon studio to work as an animator. During his career at MGM, he directed ''Barney Bear'' shorts and animated for ''Tom and Jerry''. Apple Valley, California
Apple Valley is an incorporated town in the Victor Valley of San Bernardino County, in the U.S. state of California. It was incorporated on November 14, 1988, and is one of the 22 incorporated municipalities in California that use "town" in their names instead of "city". The town is east of and adjoining to the neighboring cities of Victorville and Hesperia, south of Barstow, and north of San Bernardino through the Cajon Pass. Its population was 75,791 at the 2020. Apple Valley is governed by a town council. The mayor changes each December. Apple Valley was home to Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, whose museum was first established in Apple Valley (in 1967) before the museum was relocated to Victorville in 1976. Puddy The Pup
Puddy the Pup is a Terrytoons cartoon character who featured in a theatrical short film series from 1935 to 1942. He also appeared as Farmer Al Falfa's sidekick in other Terrytoon shorts, such as ''Tin Can Tourist'' and '' Farmer Al Falfa's Prize Package''. Daniel Campbell Gordon (July 13, 1902 – August 13, 1970) was an American storyboard artist and film director, best known for his work at Famous Studios and Hanna-Barbera Productions. Gordon was one of Famous' first directors. He wrote and directed several ''Popeye the Sailor'' and '' Superman'' cartoons. Later, at Hanna-Barbera, Gordon worked on several cartoons featuring Yogi Bear, Huckleberry Hound, and others. His younger brother, George Gordon, also worked for Hanna-Barbera. In the late 1940s, talking animals and teen humor were two of the most popular categories in the ever-growing world of comic books. ''The New Scooby and Scrappy-Doo Show'' is the sixth incarnation of the Hanna-Barbera Saturday morning cartoon ''Scooby-Doo''. ''Trollkins'' is a 1981 animated series produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions that aired for one season on CBS. Essentially a cross between ''The Smurfs'' (which incidentally premiered the same day, September 12, 1981, in the same time slot at 8:30 ET) and ''The Dukes of Hazzard'', it followed the misadventures of trolls Blitz, Pixlee, and Flooky. ''The Ant and the Aardvark'' is a series of 17 theatrical short cartoons produced at DePatie–Freleng Enterprises, originally released by United Artists and currently distributed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer from 1969 to 1971. Plot The cartoon series follows attempts of a blue aardvark (voiced by John Byner, imitating Jackie Mason) attempting to catch and eat a red ant named Charlie (also voiced by Byner, imitating Dean Martin), usually doing so by inhaling with a loud vacuum cleaner sound. The aardvark character is essentially unnamed; in the episode "Rough Brunch", he claims his name is simply "Aardvark". Despite this, and his identification in the series title as an aardvark, in many of the shorts he refers to himself (and is referred to by the ant) as an anteater.
