	Geoffrey Girard Geoffrey Girard is an author of nonfiction, thrillers, historicals, and speculative fiction. In 2013, Simon & Schuster simultaneously published Girard's techno-thriller novel CAIN'S BLOOD and an accompanying companion novel for teens; PROJECT CAIN. Both books are based on Girard's novella CAIN XP11, which ran as four installments in Apex Digest in 2007. 	Murky Depths ''Murky Depths'' bylined as "The Quarterly Anthology of Graphically Dark Speculative Fiction" was a British horror and science fiction magazine which began publishing in 2007. The magazine editor-in-chief was Terry Martin and the editor was Anne Stringer. The magazine was published four times a year. It blended illustrated prose short stories with comic strips.
