Geoff Daniela
Geoff Daniela (born 28 February 1987) is a Cook Islands international rugby league footballer who plays a and er for the St Mary's Saints in the Ron Massey Cup competition. He has previously played as a professional for the Penrith Panthers and the Wests Tigers in the National Rugby League. Early life Daniela was born in Auckland, New Zealand. He is of Niuean and Cook Islands descent. He attended school at Hebersham Primary School, Plumpton High School, and St Dominic's College in Sydney, Australia. He played junior rugby league with the Western City Tigers (Mt Druitt), Blacktown Workers and St Mary's Saints. He represented New South Wales at under-17s and under-19s level. Playing career Daniela made his NRL debut with Penrith in round 11, 2007, against the Wests Tigers at CUA Stadium. In his three seasons with Penrith he scored 13 tries from just 20 appearances. The Papua New Guinea national rugby league team represents Papua New Guinea in the sport of rugby league football. In Papua New Guinea, Rugby League is a highly popular sport and is regarded as the country's national sport. The national side are known as the Kumuls ("birds-of-paradise" in Tok Pisin). History Rugby league in Papua New Guinea was first played in the late forties; it was introduced to the nation by Australian soldiers stationed there during and after the Second World War. The Philippines national rugby league team (nicknamed the Tamaraws) represent the Philippines in international rugby league football matches. They were established in 2011. The Niue national rugby league team represents Niue in rugby league football. The team played their first match in 1986, and their first Test match in 2013. Lebanon National Rugby League Team
The Lebanon national rugby league team (Arabic: المنتخب اللبناني للرجبي ليغ) represents Lebanon in rugby league football. Nicknamed "the Cedars" after the Lebanese cedar tree, the team was formed by Lebanese Australians in 1997 and have been administered by the Lebanese Rugby League Federation since 2002. The Cedars have competed at two Rugby League World Cups, in 2000 and 2017, achieving their best result as quarter-finalists at the latter. The team's World Cup history has been defined by close losses and unfavourable draws. The 2009 Pacific Cup, known as the 2009 SP Brewery Pacific Cup due to sponsorship, was a rugby league competition held in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. The competing teams were the , , , , . Tonga, Fiji and PNG had their places in the draw confirmed initially, with the Cook Islands defeating Samoa in a Pacific Cup qualifier in Cairns on 17 October 2009 to decide which team took the final place in the tournament. The four Pacific Cup matches were played at Lloyd Robson Oval on 24–25 October and 31 October. The Pacific Cup final was played on 1 November 2009 between Papua New Guinea and the Cook Islands.
