George Frederick "Jeff" Cooper (Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, c.1936 - March 24, 2018) was a Canadian actor who participated in projects of diverse genres in both film and television. Early life George Frederick Cooper was born in Hamilton, Ontario. He first auditioned for film roles but as he was not having any success he decided to go for the realtor business. Coincidentally, the day he received his license was the same day he was cast as Dr. Simon Ellby in the hit T.V. soap opera show ''Dallas''. Cooper played the role from 1979 to 1981. Career Besides his famous role as Dr. Ellby he was also cast in various iconic roles. John Dean "Jeff" Cooper (May 10, 1920 – September 25, 2006) was a United States Marine, the creator of a "modern technique" of handgun shooting, and an expert on the use and history of small arms. Early life and education Cooper was born in Los Angeles where he enrolled in the Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps at Los Angeles High School. He graduated from Stanford University with a bachelor's degree in political science. He received a regular commission in the United States Marine Corps (USMC) in September 1941. During World War II he served in the Pacific theatre with the Marine Detachment aboard . By the end of the war he had been promoted to major. Geoffrey Cooper (18 February 1907 – 10 April 1995) was a British farmer, architect, politician and writer. Educated at Wyggeston Grammar School in Leicester and the Royal Grammar School in Worcester, Cooper joined the Auxiliary Air Force in 1933. He served as a pilot with the Royal Air Force during World War II, initially with Fighter Command, then after a period with the British Overseas Airways Corporation, he returned to action in the Coastal Command, leaving the force as a wing commander. Cooper was elected as the Labour Member of Parliament (MP) for Middlesbrough West in 1945. Delirium Books, launched in the summer of 1999 by Shane Ryan Staley, is a horror publisher in the collector's market, producing low print-run limited editions intended for both collectors and readers alike. Delirium Books first published The Rising, the first book in a series of zombie-themed horror novels written by author Brian Keene, winning the Bram Stoker Award for Best First Novel in 2003 and helping to usher in the new era of zombie popularity in the mid-2000s. In 2005, Delirium Books won the prestigious Bram Stoker Award for Excellence in Specialty Press Publishing, presented by the HWA (Horror Writer's Association).
