Genuin (record Label)
GENUIN is an independent classical music label and remote classical music recording studio based in Leipzig, Germany. The term “genuin” comes from Latin and stands for “innate, authentic, not counterfeit.” History The company was founded in Detmold, Germany in 1998 as "GENUIN Musikproduktion" by sound engineers Holger Busse and Alfredo Lasheras Hakobian. Five years later, in January 2003, the "GENUIN" classical music label began distributing CDs throughout Germany, with most releases produced by its own recording engineers. In 2005, the company moved from Detmold to Leipzig as a result of which a fruitful collaboration with German broadcaster MDR and the famed Leipzig Gewandhaus resulted. In January 2006 recording engineer Michael Silberhorn joined the company. During 2009 GENUIN Musikproduktion restructured operations and now consists of its “GENUIN classics” label and music production company "GENUIN recording group." Caroline Fischer
Caroline Fischer (born 4 April 1984) is a German pianist. She has given concerts around the world and has received several awards and prizes. Musical education Caroline Fischer received her first piano lessons from her mother at the age of three. At the age of nine, she enrolled in the Julius Stern Institute at the Berlin University of the Arts. Bach Collegium Japan (BCJ) is composed of an orchestra and a chorus specializing in Baroque music, playing on period instruments. Stephan Schreckenberger (born 16 February 1955) is a German bass singer and conductor, especially in the field of early music. From 2003, he has been a teacher at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt, and from 2011 the director of the festival ''Weilburger Schlosskonzerte''. Career Schreckenberger first studied music education at the Musikhochschule Frankfurt, then voice with Annemarie Grünewald in Heidelberg and Ernst Gerold Schramm in Berlin. Paul Badura-Skoda
Paul Badura-Skoda (6 October 1927 – 25 September 2019) was an Austrian pianist. Career A student of Edwin Fischer, Badura-Skoda first rose to prominence by winning first prize in the Austrian Music Competition in 1947. In 1949, he performed with conductors including Wilhelm Furtwängler and Herbert von Karajan; over his long career, he recorded with conductors including Hans Knappertsbusch, Hermann Scherchen, and George Szell. Along with his contemporaries Friedrich Gulda and Jörg Demus, he was part of the so-called "Viennese Troika". He was best known for his performances of works by Mozart, Beethoven and Schubert, but had an extensive repertoire including many works of Chopin and Ravel.
